asparagus fern rescue

this is an asparagus fern that my house bought for a housemate, but it got left to dry out in the living room for... maybe a year? last week i finally decided i had to rescue it. it still has some green! i believe in it!

things ive done so far:

  • trimmed dead growth (remaining yellow bits usually have some green there)
  • bottom watered it for a week
  • moved it to my room out of direct sunlight
  • stuffed moss around the top to help retain moisture
  • put it in the bathroom when i have a shower, for humidity

im wondering about repotting, but im nervous abt aaaaaall this change on it. i have more moss so i could make a moss ball around it, but my plan is to do that when its more revived.

advice? 'its dead' or 'its done for' not accepted i will only take that conclusion by seeing it w my own eyes! i want to try!
