Does anybody actually like bid management?

I have the chance to take a proposal specialist position but i keep seeing threads from people in this line of work (tenders, bids, proposals) that want to get out. Is it that bad?

Thinking about pivoting from an internal ops/support role into CRM systems (like Salesforce admin, CRM analyst, or crm coordinator).

I’m more into systems, process improvement and backend analytical work than client-facing roles.

For people in this field:

  • Is it still in strong demand?
  • How much will AI impact it?
  • Is it transferable internationally?
  • Would you recommend it as a long-term career path today?

Would love honest input from people working in it.
