I was breathless, my jaw agape, my chest tight, my head heavy. Hell I even teared up a tiny bit. I felt feelings that I’ve never felt before in my entire life. I don’t know where they came from or why I started feeling them. But I did…

Me personally, I think they’d make the final World Link before we meet the new units about the current units traversing beyond their own SEKAI to a new SEKAI where they’ll meet the new units that they’ll be passing their respective torch onto.

And on that journey, each character will have to face one last challenge or confront something that they’ve been completely forgetting about or purposefully avoiding this entire time (if it’s the former than it’d be due to how busy they’ve been).

In Kohane’s chapter of this hypothetical final World Link, she’d walk down this alleyway where the walls have been decorated with graffiti and memorabilia of her and her past. She’d open the door that had bright pink light beaming out from it only to be greeted by a place that would remind her of a traumatic event or person that her trauma is linked to. Maybe she’ll have to see her past self as the event plays out in front of her all over again.

In this moment, she’ll realize that meeting An and forming VBS has caused her to completely push her trauma to the very back of her mind and forget about it completely. And if death was involved then maybe she’s never had a chance to properly grieve until now.

Maybe in the opening of the World Link, she’d experience a mild trauma trigger as a form of foreshadowing and freeze up for a bit before switching back to normal and acting like nothing ever happened
