ARE WE SERIOUS

bro i just joined 2b2t yesterday and WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE WARDENS ON THE HIGHWAY 😭

I spent 40 minutes walking +X thinking the highway was supposed to be the SAFE PART and then I hear that stupid noise and some 9 foot underground demon starts chasing me through a tunnel

WHO PUT THESE THINGS HERE

I don't want to fight a warden at 20k blocks out I WANT TO GET TO SPAWN 😭

2b2t veterans really be like “just avoid the wardens bro” as if I'm supposed to have fucking echolocation while running through a highway at night

Worst server I've ever played.

I don't want to be griefed

I'm pretty new to 2b2t and somehow managed to get far enough away from spawn to start gathering materials for a base. I've seen so many videos of people losing bases they spent years on, so now I'm kind of paranoid about building anything.

I know nothing is truly safe on this server, but I was wondering what people generally do to make their bases less likely to be found. Do you just build ridiculously far out, spread everything across multiple locations, or is there some other common approach people use?

IM BACK

well... that didn't last very long.

after approximately 3 days 17 hours, 43 minutes, 17 seconds, and several dramatic realizations later, i've decided to return.

turns out the server is still toxic. you're all still terrible. i'm probably still annoying. absolutely nothing changed while i was gone except i got bored.

i'd like to thank everyone who continued insulting me in my absence. it meant a lot knowing you kept the tradition alive. to those who celebrated my departure, i'm sorry to inform you that your victory has been cruelly ripped away from you.

i've come to accept that this place is like a cursed swamp. everyone complains about it, everyone says they're leaving forever, and then they log back in the next day because they have absolutely nowhere else to be.

so yes, i'm back.

you can continue calling me stupid, telling me to log off, saying nobody likes me, making fun of everything i say, and pretending i'm the source of every problem on this server. business as usual.

did you really think a farewell speech that long was going to stop me?

i have returned exactly as i left: overdramatic, slightly unstable, and ready to make all the same mistakes again.

anyway, hi everyone.

IM DONE

This server has done nothing but bring me down as a person. everyday i come in here and all you do is tear me down insult me hurt me with your words and do nothing but harm me emotionally physically mentally and I just can’t take it any longer this server is so abusive and toxic it’s crazy. no one even realizes how disgusting all of your behaviors are. every single time I talk or type or even do anything or interact with anyone in the server everybody just goes against me and gangs up on me like a pack of wolves and just attacks me and i didn’t do anything to deserve these attacks and these hurtful words. i literally just try to be nice to everybody but nobody ever wants to be in my shoes and nobody ever tries to sympathize with me and see where I’m coming from all of you just see me as the enemy and as the bad guy that’s trying to ruin the server or something when really I’m just trying to spread positivity. you guys act like I’m some kind of virus or disease, constantly casting me out so much, making me feel so left out and so alone in this server. it’s fucking driving me insane I feel mental and I feel like a weirdo just being around all of you because of how you treat me. at this point in time, I’ve given up on ever trying again and ever becoming any of your friends because I just know your feelings towards me clearly. i know all of you hate me and never want to be around me again or never have anything to do with me. it’s clear that you all think I’m a joke and that I’m stupid, idiotic and boring. it’s so mean because I literally don’t do anything to you guys but you guys always act like you hate me and it makes me feel so confused because I don’t know what I did to deserve it. I feel like I should just leave because clearly nobody wants to be around me and everyone would be happier if i left anyways so i’ll just go and i hope all of you find happiness in life and i’m sorry for all the troubles i’ve ever put any of you through. i give up. goodbye.

The seventh seal has been broken by Hausemaster

The ancient highways tremble.

The obsidian itself cries out.

Veterans wander the Nether in silence, staring into the fog where once there was purpose. The old gods of technical Minecraft have abandoned this realm, and in their place stands the High Council of Compliance, armed not with crystal PvP or ingenuity, but with patch notes and corporate emails.

They tell us these were merely "exploits."

FOOLS.

The Cathedral of Spawn was once called an exploit.

Bedrock highways were once called exploits.

Entity manipulation was called an exploit.

Half of this server's mythology was born from mechanics Mojang never intended.

That wasn't a bug.

That was culture.

Now they speak of "backlogs."

The Romans spoke of administration before the empire collapsed.

Byzantium spoke of reforms before Constantinople fell.

2b2t speaks of anti-cheat updates before extinguishing another piece of its own history.

Coincidence?

I think not.

The Council assures us our feedback is being read.

Read by whom?

The same invisible scribes who have spent years sealing ancient knowledge beneath layers of anticheat scripture while proclaiming themselves protectors of history?

The irony would be hilarious if it weren't so biblical.

They patched mechanics that had survived longer than entire Minecraft servers have existed.

Mechanics that outlived map resets elsewhere.

Mechanics that became traditions.

Mechanics that became religion.

And they call this "preservation."

This is not preservation.

This is taking a museum, melting every artifact into scrap metal, then proudly announcing the building has never been more structurally sound.

The old builders knew this day would come.

The hunters saw the omens.

The highway engineers whispered of it in forgotten Discord channels.

The lag prophets foretold it.

The signs were everywhere.

The End Times were never going to arrive with a map reset.

They would arrive as a carefully worded announcement beginning with:

>

The Dark Age has begun.

May future generations remember there was once a server where players rewrote Minecraft itself before Minecraft rewrote the players.

We need to talk about the highway griefers

After years of traversing the endless arteries of this wasteland, I have reached a conclusion that should be self-evident to anyone with even the slightest capacity for reason: highway griefing is, without question, the most mind-numbingly pointless form of destruction on the entire server.

Do the people who grief highways genuinely fail to comprehend that they themselves rely upon those very same roads? These are not monuments to civilization or protected landmarks—they are the lifeblood of 2b2t itself. Every explorer, hunter, trader, raider, stash finder, and yes, even the griefers, inevitably marches across the same obsidian veins stretching into the abyss.

The claim that highways somehow "make 2b2t too easy" has always been laughable. This server is already one of the harshest environments in Minecraft. Tens of millions of blocks of wilderness, destroyed spawn, hostile players, crystal PvP, traps, and the constant possibility of losing everything you own. The highways merely remove the mindless tedium of holding W for another ten hours before you can actually play the game.

More importantly, highways create interaction. They are where civilizations collide. They are where hunters track prey, where traders exchange supplies, where old friends unexpectedly reunite, where enemies cross paths, where bases are discovered, where wars begin. Without them, everyone is simply scattered across an effectively infinite world with fewer encounters and less activity.

Yet despite all of this, it takes only one attention-starved troglodyte carrying a few stacks of obsidian to inconvenience thousands of players for no strategic gain whatsoever. There is no military objective. No territorial advantage. No lasting achievement. Only temporary annoyance.

And what inevitably follows? A trail of signs desperately proclaiming, "I DID THIS," plastered across the ruins like a child hanging their first drawing on the refrigerator. The overwhelming majority of highway griefers aren't pursuing some grand philosophy of chaos—they're farming reactions because deep down they know nobody would remember them otherwise.

If your greatest contribution to 2b2t is making people spend another fifteen minutes mining obsidian, congratulations—you have achieved the intellectual equivalent of putting a shopping trolley sideways across a supermarket aisle and calling yourself an agent of entropy.

There are a thousand ways to leave your mark on this server. Build something legendary. Find impossible stashes. Hunt players. Start wars. Create history.

Turning a public highway into an obsidian speed bump is not legendary. It's just embarrassingly low-effort attention seeking masquerading as chaos.

Hi, I’ve recently taken up running after a lifetime of playing sports (18m), so I’m already in good shape. My cardio feels solid and I can go for a while, but I keep getting bad calf and foot cramps about 2 km into my runs, even when I maintain a slow pace. I’ve already tried using electrolytes and lots of water, wearing good shoes, avoiding heel striking, and stretching/foam rolling beforehand. Any advice would be appreciated to prevent these mid-run, thanks.
