How are people handling shopify shipping when stock is still sitting in china?
Quick context, we make everything in shenzhen, sell us and canada, ocean freight into a 3pl in california right now. Thinking about just leaving stock near the factory and shipping orders individually instead.
Four things I can't get answered clearly, does checkout conversion break when the parcel starts overseas, does the customer see a local carrier or some chinese tracking number, who pays duty at the door now the $800 thing is gone, and does inventory sync back properly when stock isn't in a domestic warehouse.
Anyone running shopify shipping like this for a while, did conversion move once you updated the delivery estimate on the product page?
