We booked a VRBO in Seattle 6/25-27 and just received a message that the host double booked the property on another platform and we need to choose new dates. How? We fly in the 25th for a cruise that leaves the 27th. There are world cup games there and there's no where else to stay that's affordable. They haven't even mentioned a refund! Open to any suggestions of how to deal with this

UPDATE: VRBO is making it right! Thank you so much for all the advice. The best advice being that we needed to talk to someone on the phone! We spoke with a rep from VRBO who acknowledged that our stay was indeed being canceled (by the host, not us) and they would be penalized. They also provided 6 other similar properties and gave us the option of finding our own. Plus VRBO is giving us up to our original rental price in addition the base cost (for example: if our original cost was $1,000 we still pay $1000 plus VRBO chips in up to $1,000 for a different property). We were able to find another property that is actually closer to the docks than the previous. Trip saved!
