Got certified in May 2024 (AOW, nitrox) and just moved back to LA, looking to plug myself into groups I can shore dive with, and also just other groups with hobbies/volunteer opportunities that are related to diving, the ocean, conservation etc. Ever since becoming a diver, I've really wanted to expand on that interest and do my part to support conservation efforts, clean up the ocean, maybe learn to fish, etc etc.
Would love suggestions!
ETA: not looking for things that cost money to get into. I’m saving money rn, definitely not going on boat dives, but I have all my equipment so shore dives and general socializing while having fun/doing my part is what I am looking for.
