Glenfield Model A Accuracy

Hi all,

I tried to run an experiment to take an American action to the limit. After acquiring an MDT chassis, a 4-12 Viper scope, polishing the action, buying a can, and getting some match ammo, I had some exceptional results.

5 rounds at 100 yards, Sig 168gr SMK. Came out to just over .4 MOA.

Needless to say, I think that ruger has managed to make an exceptional rifle at a very attractive price point. Admittedly, I put a lot of money into attachments, but I am willing to shoot this same ammo without the can and in the factory stock for more experimentation.

Stocks

Hi all. I’m currently in the process of building out a hybrid hunting and precision build. Would the Magpul Hunter stock or the MDT field be better if I want a flexible role?

I’ve been hearing that for what it’s worth, the MDT has a pretty good amount of flex from a bipod. I will primarily be shooting off of cover or a bench, so a bipod may not be used.
