We desperately need a dedicated indoor CQB field, so I’m trying to build one. Thoughts on this layout?

Mods if this needs to be deleted let me know.

Hey everyone this is gonna be long but there's alot to say so bare with me,

Like a lot of you in the STL / St. Charles area, surrounding areas, and those of you willing to make the drive for something great, I am incredibly tired of having nowhere to play indoor, tactical CQB without driving forever or playing on a cramped paintball field. Our winters are freezing, our summers are brutally humid, and the local community deserves a dedicated, semi-climate-controlled indoor spot.

I am currently working on the business plan, funding, and scouting a 25,000 sq ft warehouse location right in the St. Peters / O'Fallon / Wentzville corridor (looking heavily around the I-70 or Highway K areas).

Before I sign my life away to a bank and a commercial landlord, I want to pitch my notes to the community to see if this is something you guys would actually show up for. I want to build this for players, so please give me your honest feedback on the layout and features:

The Field & Gameplay:

• Massive CQB Footprint: The playing field itself will be a massive 18,000 to 20,000 sq ft.

• Modular / Changing Layouts: Built on total-lock wheels. Every single month, we will run a player vote on our community page and completely change the field layout based on what you guys want to play.

• Atmospherics: Heavy-duty smoke machines, synchronized lighting, wall-mounted white strobes, and full audio setups for different game modes.

• Ventilation: Two massive 10-foot industrial blade fans and open bay doors to quickly clear out the smoke haze and keep it cool.

• Safety: A dedicated, enclosed chronograph lane with targets and a BB catcher before you step foot near the staging area.

Front of House & Retail:

• Staging Area: A massive 1,500 sq ft staging hub with plenty of table space to gear up and relax between rounds.

• Safe Area: The staging area will be separated from the field by an 8-foot-high, wood-framed Lexan viewing wall so spectators and players can safely watch the matches.

• Pro Shop / Tech Service: Full retail wall (hoping to look into an Evike Outpost setup) plus a dedicated tech space for upgrades, maintenance, and parts. High-pressure air (HPA) fill stations on-site

.

Pricing Ideas:

• All-Day Play: Target is $35.

• Discounts: 25% off entry for Military, First Responders, and Law Enforcement.

• Memberships: Looking at doing tiered monthly passes ($25, $60, $100) that include perks like free entries, retail discounts, and free HPA fills depending on the tier.

How I'm launching:

To prove to the banks and the city that the demand is real, I’m planning a "Founders Membership" pre-sale before opening day. It’ll be limited to 200 spots at $200, giving those players a lifetime $30 entry rate, a unique member number on custom dog tags, exclusive gear, and a permanent voice in our monthly field layout changes.

I really want to bring this to life for the St. Charles county scene, but I need to know if the public response will be there.

Would you play here? What would you change about the rules or pricing? What kind of game modes would you want to see featured on an 18k sq ft modular layout?

Let me know what you think!

I found something interesting with readiness monitors (long)

Hi fellow b58 owners. Sorry this is so long, feel free to skip to the bottom. This may have been posted about already but i hadn't seen it so i thought i would make a post. I am (like alot of other people) catless. Makes emissions tricky unless you have a readiness tune, expensive catted dp or got lucky with a cheaper one. If youre like me and went catless but cant pass let me explain what i did to make it work. First off, i have a gen 1 b58, so gen 2's i cant speak for, i didnt use any spacers, dp fixes or any other physical hardware changes. I was originally mhd stage 2 on 93 with a stock pump, obviously wont get cats to ready that way even if the other monitors complete. So i decided to flash to stage 0. Initially i left the catless option checked just to experiment. Yep, you called it, it didnt work at all. So i decided to experiment further and turned off the catless option. What i found actually surprised me. Initially i got a check engine light, thought i was doomed. I cleared the monitors and let it sit overnight. The following morning i started it and drove it honestly forgetting i left the catless option unchecked. I checked my monitors and lo and behold they were all completing and catalyst was incomplete instead of not available this time. I kept driving and saw a pending code for p0420 (cat efficiency), was waiting for it to trigger a CEL and to my surprise it didnt and it mever did for the entire 50 miles i drove to work. Then i realized if i can clear the codes (fresh monitors), let it sit and cool down and drive it the next morning and get all of the readiness codes to complete except for cats in a single drive cycle then i could pass since i can have one incomplete in my state. So try it if youre struggling, maybe im lucky or maybe not. But flash stage 0 (mhd), uncheck the aftermarket dp option, let the car sit overnight without starting it, start it when you can drive it for a while, let the monitors complete, dont shut off the car, do not clear codes, and get it inspected when all are ready assuming you dont get a check engline light. Cat obviously wont ready this way and i believe it stays pending during the first drive cycle and upon the second drive cycle confirms the fault and triggers a cel. Im not guaranteeing it will work, just sharing my experience but feel free to give it a shot. Have a good day/night!

Finally back in a bmw!

I used to have a 2015 328. I liked the look of it but couldnt stand the motor. Recently got into a 2018 340i GT Xdrive with about 85k miles on it. Got it for a decent price. Has the m sport package, cold weather package, etc. Wish i wouldve noticed f34 aftermarket parts are a little harder to source than the f30 but i still love it. Feels so good to be back!
