No EF recovery after a HA at 20

I had a heart attack about 2 months ago; it was a STEMI in the LAD (widowmaker). The stent was placed about 1.5-2 hours from the onset. I was discharged with an EF of 45.
Since then, I have lost 8 kg, improved my diet, started walking and take my medications consistently. I feel better now, but
Today at my 2-month echo, my EF was still in the 40-45 range, which is very disappointing to me because I was told major recovery happens in the starting few weeks, and I am worried and stressed as hell. The thought of living with reduced heart capacity for life at such a young age haunts me.
I would like to ask people with a similar situation to mine: is there hope left for a normal EF, what their story of EF recovery was, and if there are any things I can do to maximise this
Any guidance would really be helpful
