Going hiking on the island of Sardinia this Fall and would love to get some wine recommendations.

My general preference is bold reds but I am open to all recommendations in particular for varietals that are specific/limited to the island.

I live in the US. Big VfB fan. While this might be way too early, I was wondering if there is anything I should do now (or soon) to increase my odds of buying tickets for the Champions League games when they will become available.
