Weird, silly things to do in ADKs

Hi all!

Planning a trip up to the ADKs (Saranac Lake area) in late July with a friend, going to be camping there for a week. I have been when I was younger (~13), and I'm excited to be coming back! :)

When traveling, I love to find wacky things. I'm sad that we will be missing the Invasion of Camp Cryptid cryptozoology event, but I have down on our lists to jump off the Boob in Long Lake, say hello to Pig Rock in Speculator, maybe do the "Discover Biathlon" course at Mt. Van Hoevenberg.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions for similarly silly/wacky/unique things to do?

Used to watch anime a good bit, tried to get back into it with Takopi.

Watched a good bit of anime from ~2015-2019. Haven't picked it up much since. Watched some Takopi because I saw the reviews and got through... 2 episodes

[Takopi's Original Sin Ep. 1-2 Thoughts on Plot] >!disliked everyone in the show. Adults written as supervillain level evil just because. Shizuka always, without fail, making the worst decision possible: never speaks to anyone but her bully, never runs/avoids conflict, never tries to find/accept any help, never showing any sort of resilience. Even just the idea that all Shizuka could wallow in filth for years without anyone contacting the equivalent of CPS felt ridiculous to me. Marina was "evil" and somehow depicted as powerful beyond comprehension despite looking malnourished herself.... to die by a plastic camera to the head and to be easily dispelled by Azuma. Felt like the whole story just lacked any logical coherence, with characters feeling like vehicles to get us over to the next over-the-top slice of misery.!<

It was hard to feel empathy for characters that didn't feel like people. Great art design, think the concept was good (maybe the manga is better than the show? that could very well be the case!). But I just was kinda floored by how frustrating the show was to me.!<

I liked sad anime like Anohana and the sort when I was younger/high school age. Think I like some drama/slice of life/adventure stuff. Would generally prefer stuff set outside of high school now to maybe watch some adult characters doing adult things. Am I just old and grumpy now? Is there anything folks would recommend?

Any ideas for Strougsburg/Bushkill area this Saturday?

Going up with friends from PA this Saturday to hike around, but with the temps going down and the rainfall I'm a little worried (the trails too washed out, can't really swim a lot, etc.). Pocono Bazaar Flea Market doesn't seem to be open b/c of the holiday either. Any tips or ideas for the day? Was thinking of hitting Bushkill Falls and going up to Raymondskill Falls, but not too wild about Bushkill Falls
