What you all got in enginerring on the basis of 10th may exam and what preference was it of yours ?

Are offer letter for 10th may enginerring branches out ? I saw someone he said he got chemical enginerring.

During placements in 4th year when companies come do they look at PCM percentage or all 5 subject percentage while considering criteria for their own shortlisting ?

Hey guys during placement season do companies look at just Physics chemistry and maths subject percentage or do they look at all 5 while shortlisting ?

Seniors at SNU please Help. I got 74 percent in boards will I get problem in passing company 12th boards criteria at SNU for cse placements.

Hi everyone, I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I am a first-year dropper with a 94% in 10th (2024), but I got 73.8% in CBSE 12th (2025/26). I am joining SNU Noida CSE this year. My goal is to target high-finance/product firms like D.E. Shaw and Goldman Sachs, or other product based companies and eventually an MS/MBA abroad.

I’m worried about the 75% criteria. I have two options and need your perspective:

1. NIOS On-Demand (June 2026): Take 3 subjects to cross 75%. I’ll have two marksheets (CBSE + NIOS).
2. NIOS Public Exam (April 2027): Re-appear for all 5 subjects as a private candidate while in my 1st/2nd year at SNU. This gives a "cleaner" single marksheet but creates a timeline overlap (12th passing date of 2027 vs. B.Tech start date of 2026).

My questions:

• Does firms like D.E. Shaw/Goldman Sachs auto-reject for a 73.8% if the official cutoff is 60-65%?
• Will a 2027 NIOS marksheet cause me to fail Background Verification (BGV) because it overlaps with my college years?
• For MS applications abroad, do they care about the "two marksheets" or "overlap" issue, or do they just care about the B.Tech GPA?
