My mom claims she fed her childhood cats ghormeh sabzi and they were fine, but isn’t onion super toxic to cats? Has anyone fed their cats polo khoresht?

(Regardless of the answer I’m keeping my cats away from any alliums, I’m mostly just curious if cats in Iran are built different or something lol)
