bruh i am so done with the absolute clown behavior of the KIIT admin.
long story short, i permanently vacated the hostel, handed in my keys, and completed all my mentor/parent formalities months ago before the break even started.
cut to now: they’ve slapped the full hostel fee for the new semester on my SAP portal anyway because my superintendent was sitting on my paperwork for months 🤡 now accounts is demanding rent for an empty room i don’t even live in anymore.
my superintendent is now passing the buck, claiming she forwarded it to the "community/committee" and it's out of her hands. like who even are they to decide if i'm allowed to leave a service i already canceled??
i’ve already mass-emailed the hostel directors and technical desks with full proof, but it’s pure radio silence. my family followed all the rules on time and we are NOT paying thousands of rupees for a staff member's laziness.
has anyone actually dealt with this mythical hostel committee or SAP billing errors? how do i force them to drop this extortion immediately? help a girl out 😭🙏

I am so sick and tired of the utter incompetence, toxic bureaucracy, and blatant greed of the KIIT administration.
My end-sem exams wrapped up on April 16th. By April 17th, I completed every single permanent hostel leave formality perfectly. My mentor verified and forwarded the application, my parents sent formal consent emails to the hostel desk, and I completely moved my belongings out of the room. I did my part by the book before summer vacation even started.
Now, the entire upcoming semester's hostel fee is sitting on my SAP portal.
Why? Because my hostel superintendent lazily sat on my paperwork for nearly four months without hitting "approve" in her system. Now, the brainless automated SAP system thinks I'm still living there, and the Accounts Office is blindly demanding I pay hostel rent. They admitted I shouldn't pay the mess fee because I'm obviously not eating there, but they are trying to force me to pay the hostel fee for an empty room I legally and physically surrendered nearly FOUR MONTHS AGO.
After I got pushed to my limit and mass-emailed the Hostel Directors (Snehasish Rout) and Student Affairs (Shyam Sundar Behura) with my airtight, timestamped April proofs, the superintendent finally woke up and forwarded my file. But now she is playing the ultimate passing-the-buck game. She told me she forwarded it but said: "The hostel community will approve it or not, it is on their hand, not mine."
Like, who the actual fuck do they think they are to "approve or not approve" my departure? I came to this hostel because my parents and I chose to, and now we want to leave. We finished every single formality before the semester and before the vacations even started! What the fuck more am I supposed to do? They do not own me, and they do not have the right to hold me financially hostage because their own staff is too lazy to clear a file for four months!
My family followed every single rule on time. We are absolutely NOT financially capable of throwing away thousands of rupees to cover up an internal administrative delay caused by their operational negligence.
Has anyone else successfully fought these absolute clowns over SAP billing errors? Does this mythical "hostel community committee" actually look at the original application date (April 17th), or is this just another corporate delay tactic to try and wear me down until I pay up?
I refuse to give this college a single rupee for a room I haven't stepped foot in since April. Any advice on how to break through their radio silence and force them to drop this extortion immediately would be appreciated.
