I attempted to take out the the claws of the chuck but they will not reseat properly regardless of the order I place them in. I can always get three of the claws seated but the final one never sits properly. The video tutorial on the 4th axis on YouTube is brief and does not contain anything in terms of troubleshooting this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello, question for the group. I am working on my first project that utilizes the 4th axis attachment for the Carvera. Following the tutorial from Makera's YouTube channel, they recommend enabling the "Enable Tailstock" feature in the toolpath settings to allow for extra stock to remain while milling the part. However, whenever I do so it does not calculate the toolpath correctly in MakeraCam as it will only generate a portion of the toolpath along the model and will only generate the toolpath in its entirety if I leave this toggle disabled. I imagine this could be a software version specific issue rather than something I'm doing wrong as it seems relatively straightforward, but didn't know if anyone here had experienced anything similar. Here are two photos from my project, one with the enabled tailstock and the other with this toggle disabled. Any help is greatly appreciated!
