Filgrastim

Hi as anyone used filgrastim concurrently with bleomycin. I need it for my wbc but have heard there is concern for increased lung toxicity. However, a lot of reading has said that it does not significantly increase risk. Anyone have experience with this?

ABVD 4th cycle

Hi all, I am getting close to finishing my first two cycles of ABVD for stage 2A favorable Hodgkins. After this I have a PET scan but will likely finish with 2 more cycles of ABVD. My side effects for the first two have been very manageable but I am worried about cumulative side effects. For those who have gone through this, did things get significantly worse as it goes on? Thank you

Radiation after ABVD

Has anyone undergone radiation therapy after completing abvd? I have classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma stage 2. It is an option for me but feel like there are risks with either option

Frustrated with doctors

Hi all, I am starting treatment tomorrow and find myself feeling a little frustrated. I had a lot of questions and things I was trying to figure out before starting and keep getting told by my doctors that they’ll call me later but then they don’t follow up. It makes things seem extra scary tomorrow bc I feel like I have no idea what’s going on. Anyone else have this experience?

Starting treatment Tuesday

Hi all, I am about to start treatment for stage 2a favorable Hodgkins on Tuesday. I am scared and have no idea what to expect. I am starting with 2 cycles of ABVD and then a second pet scan. My doctors keep mentioning minimal side effects and I am concerned they are downplaying what I am about to go through. (Trying to be optimistic and comforting I guess but I just don’t really buy the minimal side effects). For example, they said there’s a decent chance I won’t lose my hair and that I should be able to continue working a few days after infusion. Any thoughts on this?

Experience Sharing

Hi, I am a 28 year old female recently diagnosed with stage 2A Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I am starting treatment in 2 weeks of ABVD chemo. I am hoping to connect with someone with a similar background to my own and similar diagnosis to talk through the experience. If you would be interested please dm me.

Working during ABVD treatment

Hi all,
I lost my job only a couple weeks before getting my diagnosis due to company wide layoffs. This has been the worst possible timing for me because I lost my disability and critical illness benefits and now have to pay high insurance premiums on my own. With my treatment starting soon, I doubt anyone will hire me or I’ll even be able to work. I need advice on if people were able to work during treatment (I have stage 2 Hodgkins and am starting with two rounds of ABVD). I don’t know how I’ll stay afloat financially if I can’t get another job.
Thanks

Diagnosed and Hopeless

hi all,

I was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins and am struggling to find motivation to go through treatment. I was very unhappy in my life before this and feel like I have nothing to look forward to after finishing treatment. I already felt like life was moving on without me and now this makes it even worse. I can’t imagine spending months by myself doing nothing. if anyone has any positive treatment stories to share I would appreciate it. thanks
