My go to IEM for an overall reset. (Juzear Nimbus)

So to get this out of the way, this was sent to me by HifiGO back in July 27, 2026, and yes I know some of you are going to say that I am being paid to say words based on what they want from me but no, I have stated words on my review the things I did like and not like about the Nimbus. For full honesty, I will just have this post as brand affiliated and here are the links that HifiGO have sent me for the upcoming August 17, 2026 sale:

So far for me at least this has been an overall chill set due to its overall warm leaning neutral tuning, so it's safe to that you can have a long listening sessions with these, even today, which I hope it remains that way is that, no issues so far when it comes to QC, EXCEPT that the stock nozzles which are the clear ones starting to clogging up the sound on the right side, and it does not happen with the other nozzles.

Most of you are probabaly gonna get the Nimbus due to the cable for it's really a good cable, for 50 dollars an IEM with a modular cable is good value in my opinion for I have not seen an IEM on that price range with a cable like the Nimbus.(I could be wrong though, I am still learning)

Not really a fan of the faceplates being just blank with the Juzear logos, and it's even worse when its a fingerprint magnet, then again it is a glass faceplate but it could have been looking better if it has some cloud design or something to live up to the name Nimbus.

So yeah overall it has been good, but for people who wants an overall energetic presentation, the Nimbus is not for you, unless you want a warm-neutral IEM for some variety.

If you guys have an IEM in your collection, what is your IEM for a good reset of overall sound?

Juzear Nimbus: Azure Skies, Chill Times. A relaxing warm-neutral set

Greetings everyone, this is me sharing my impressions, thoughts and overall review of the Juzear Nimbus, and I am just going to say that this was sent to me by HiFiGO with the 3.5mm/4.4mm version and for more transparency about this review, I will put up the brand affiliate flair up as well even though I am not sure if I am being paid by HiFiGo or not. Rest be assured that I am not controlled by HiFiGO to say what is good or bad on the Nimbus, for all my thoughts are all on my own. We have different ear types, preferences and hearing, so please do not let my review be the overall conclusion of your decision to get this or not. With that being said, I will start with the usual Pros and Cons format that I have been doing lately.

PROS:

  • Right of the bat, in terms of the overall presentation, it really lives up to the name of it being called “nimbus”, the overall box art presentation has a graphical design of clouds that are in fact nimbus in form with the blue-sky colorization and as well as the white clouds on the box art. Overall this is your standard box for every Juzear product that you see from every line from them.
  • Ok now what is inside the box? The accessories are the following and I must say it’s pretty solid for 50USD and I will explain my reason. For $50 you get the IEMs themselves (DUH!), the cable that appears to me looks like a variant or a different version of the Juzear Flare cable and of course its plug is swappable termination is which is a plus for I never find a single 50 dollar set with this type of cable. (Do feel free to correct me though if I am wrong, for I am aware that I do not know everything.) variety of eartips, a cleaning cloth for your IEMS, a pouch case that is sky-blue in color an another emphasis on why this one is called Nimbus, a QC paperwork, a warranty card and finally a set of swappable nozzles. $50 for this type of accessories.
  • Let’s talk about the looks and build of the IEM themselves. To me it has a metal shell build as you can see from the earpieces themselves, with a glass faceplate with the logo of Juzear on each faceplate. The overall build of it being metal one assure that this is going to be a durable set but there are some caveats along with it and I will explain on the CONS section of this review.
  • Remaining on the build, it has a metal build right? For a metal shell it is lightweight, not encumbering to the ears when you wear it and I wore this for like a couple of times now when I have received it, I have never felt a single feel of discomfort or the earpieces being heavy, at least for me.
  • It’s lightweight and not heavy for my ears as I mentioned, I also find the overall shape, contour and fit for the IEM for me, comfortable and it is not even custom molded fit for my ears yet for me they fit me so well that it is like a glove. And of course with the form fitting being so well in my ears, I am happy to inform that the sound isolation you get from the Nimbus, at least for my ears is top notch, and the overall feel and shape reminds me of a previous IEM that I have which was the Simgot EA1000.
  • I have said before that the overall form-factor of the Nimbus at least for me, really comfortable, really fits well in my ears and has an overall great sound isolation due to its overall shape. I pretty much sleep with some of IEMs for I really need that soundscape as a form of sleep-aid for me. I am happy to say, especially if you are a sidesleeper, you can pretty much do this one with the Nimbus, for it does not protrude out from my ears at all and it remains in my ears perfectly, thus making it a good set of sleep IEMs.
  • Ok since I have mentioned the sound isolation of the Nimbus being good, let’s talk about the sounds now. Do these sound good? Well, based on my preference preferring IEMs with a neutral tuning or balanced tuning, for me at least that this has passed my preferential sounds that I want. Is it really warm neutral as they are trying to emphasis as their goal for it? In a way yes, but to me it’s more of a bass-boosted warm neutral tuning that goes to a mild V-shape like the Defiant, but I think the overall tuning of the Nimbus is that, more neutral than the Defiant with warmth and boosted bass.
  • Since this set is more on the warmer side of the sound instead of being a cold or analytical type of sound, you are pretty much going to enjoy the music more on this one though in a more chill side due to the bass being more on the quality side than being all basshead levels, there is bass but it is the perfect balance of the sub and mid-bass. As for the mids, the vocals for both male and female sounds natural to me and I am happy say that the overall mid presentation of this set is not recessed for I know that can be frustrating for people who wants some vocal appreciation as well. Finally the treble, yes there is treble on this set but a treble where you can be assure that your ears won’t die from treble murder, for the highs roll-off where you can still hear the detail from each track that emphasizes the treble a lot. Overall this set is an all-around relaxing set that can work for every genre that you listen to in your library.
  • Remaining on the sounds, let’s talk about the swappable tuning nozzles. The Nimbus is using the clear colored nozzles which is the default one that I already like a lot. I tried the red nozzles and that one is basically for people who need more energy on the highs, it does not entirely change the sounds but to some degree it makes some adjustments that are good enough to cater to your preferred way of tuning. So the red puts more energy on the highs for the people who are into more treble, and for the black nozzles, that is for people who even want more warmth and bass for their listening session, and with the black nozzles you’re trading off the treble a bit for more of that bass feel, pretty much good for people who want more punch on their tracks. (I will explain some things that I want to express about the swappable nozzles on the CONS section for some reasons.)
  • Overall sound presentation is natural as it should be, for it would be if it’s like a warm neutral tuning but the overall sound is just artificial or weird. An example for me would be the strings of the guitar from the Man Who Sold the World from Nirvana’s Unplugged in New York version, Kurt’s guitar does not sound metallic at all nor is it artificial as same as the drum sounds from Dave’s kit and Krist’s bass, it sounds as it should be, as you hear in real life, instruments without any of the metallic weirding sound that you hear from like a Delta Airlines earbuds or something.
  • You can pretty much crank the volume a bit more on this set without harming your ears (within reasonable levels still.) Due to the set being a chill set. I have had no problems listening to my library for many hours due to me not experiencing a form hearing fatigue.
  • Ok so I did a test with the imaging, accuracy, soundstage or any technical aspects of the set. I used the Nimbus while listening to the Virtual Barbershop demo, and yes the sounds from every direction I get from the demo is accurate. It’s not gonna be a technical or analytical marvel, but based on what I heard from the demo with that video it was able to determine the right direction which sounds are coming from the video with the Nimbus. The stage is just average, I mean it’s an IEM and you rarely find IEMs that have great soundstage, it’s more of a sphere in your head but overall the imaging and accuracy is good. Oh and the separation is really solid, I can easily distinguish where the guitar track plays, along with the drums and vocals without any form of congested sound that affects the overall track, so in a way I guess you can also use this for gaming, but I think in a more casual gaming way than your typical competitive gaming sessions.

CONS:

  • Despite having the name Nimbus that is being printed all over the box art, the earpieces themselves do not look like a Nimbus to me at all. To be quite frank the overall look of the faceplates of the Nimbus is boring, I would have been a bit happier if there is like a hint of a cloud design on each faceplate that represents the Nimbus cloud or something to make the overall look not boring or bland.
  • With the faceplates and the build being all a metal one, these are fingerprint magnets. You are going to wipe a lot on this set when you are going to use them or after using them for man, I am not a fan of glossy/glass looking IEMs for I prefer mine on the matte side of coloring due to this caveat of it being metal build. I think metal body being matte would have been better but then again that would get more expensive if they do that.
  • Despite receiving a lot of accessories from the Nimbus, I am not exactly a fan of the stock eartips for I have tried them on, especially with the ones that came with the IEMs, and no they do not work for me really well. You have to tip roll in order for this set to work, at least for me, for I am right now using the NiceHCK C04 on the Nimbus, and so far it has been better.
  • Remaining on the fit section, sure it fits me really well especially with the change of the tips, for larger ears, yeah good luck for I don’t think this is going to fit you one bit due the shells being on the medium side of sizing. And yes, you need like certain eartips that are a bit longer for the stems on these may or may not go into your ear well.
  • The stock cable is good but this is more of a nitpick from me, it would have been better if the cable has the same color scheme as the earpieces themselves. If this one has like a blue color or at least have the same color as the Defiant’s Flare cable, this would have looked better imo and of course making the overall look of the IEMs themselves less bland.
  • Warm neutral presentation means an overall relaxing chill set for longer listening sessions and that type of sound can be sound boring to some, depending on the track that you are listening to. If you are one of the people who prefers a really engaging set and an energetic set that you can go all out, this is not for you. For the overall bass is not thumpy for bassheads, the mids are just natural for both genders not overly making either male or female vocal pop really out that you get from vocal centric IEMs and the highs from this set is overall safe due to the roll off on the highs and definitely not for trebleheads.
  • Defintely not for analytical heads, for the technicalities of this set is limited due to the driver configuration being used for this one. I mean it’s a single dynamic driver IEM, so when it comes to every micro detail, macro detail or the overall technical aspects being all revealing to this set is not that kind. As I said this more on a musical side of the sounds, it does technical sound aspects solid enough but not to a degree that it reveals everything accurately on what an analytical head wants to really hear. It can really play well on tracks that are less busier for sure, but on busier tracks like me listening to Meshuggah's Bleed, there are times I cannot hear the separation of each instrument like the guitar, bass and drums. So yeah, this one is best for tracks with a moderate pace of rhythm and it's really overwhelmed fast on busier tracks with a lot on emphasis on speed.
  • This is weird, and this might be from the usual source or volume levels that I use which is on the safe range, the Nimbus needs a bit of power to sound the way that I wanted it to sound. I mean sure you can pump the volume in order for it to sound audible for you but that should not be the case, for IEMs are easier to drive, but this one? Yeah, for me at least, you need a bit more power.
  • I have mentioned the swappable nozzles earlier right? You know what in a way, I find this type on IEMs a bit gimmicky, for there are times I don’t want to bother swapping out the nozzles and be done with the current one that I already enjoy in the first place. More of a nitpick, but tuning nozzles for me either work or just gimmicky, for there are times I am like “Forget this, I just want to listen to the set ASAP.”
  • One of Juzear’s fatal flaws and I hope they have improved and fixed on this would be their quality control. For I have had issues relating to this part of Juzear and it sucks overall when I had the displeasure getting a lot of issues with my Defiants back then. I really cannot full recommend a Juzear product right now with full confidence for I don’t want this set, like the Nimbus to have issues like the drivers dying for that have had happened to me with my Defiants.

OVERALL:

A really good budget set from Juzear, This is really good that you are getting for the price, I think you’ll get a better deal if you go for the version that includes a dongle DAC which I wished chose instead for I really cannot fully say if that said included dongle DAC is good for I have not tried it. For newcomers who wants a relaxing tuning that play your library safe and having a better build, the Nimbus is a safe bet that you can get, but I really cannot fully recommend this if the QC issues are still apparent that is similar to the original Juzear Defiant, unless they have fixed those.

I like the color of this cable with my Top Pro.

Bought this cable for like $8 because the stock cable of my Top Pro has become unusable which is a shame for that stock cable is lightweight and modular.

Unusable due to the fact that it oxidized, it stiffened hence this cable that I am using for the Top Pro which is the KBEAR ST12.

Quick insights about it, I really like the cable for the price, I can see why this has been recommended a lot for the cable is soft, does not kink when being wrapped and the overall color scheme matches with my Top Pro.

Downside it's that it's not modular, I mean it is expected due to the plug not being swappable, and no, stop this notion that an aftermarket cable improves the sound, because it doesn't, stop this snake oil encouragement. I only bought this for the looks, replacement and for a more comfortable feel, that is it.

Overall, good cable and even better when you get it for a discount.

MOONDROP PUDDING: Convenient TWS for $50 that is both good and cautionary.

This is my impressions/review about the Moondrop Pudding. I am here to share my thoughts about it, if this piece of TWS earphones punches above its given price point, or is it one of Moondrop’s frustrating failures again due to past issues with their own QC. Without further ado I am going to start with the usual pros and cons in a summarized way, then start expressing more additional thoughts.

Just a quick disclaimer of some sorts, I actually bought this with my own money, never was sponsored whatsoever and I am only doing this for the fun of it and nothing else.

PROS:

• Out of the box, the default tuning of the Moondrop Pudding is already good, for me at least. It’s basically a well-balanced sound, or you could say Moondrop’s usual tuning of their own VDSF tuning. It sounds natural to me, and I can hear an overall improvement from their Space Travel units. To me it’s similar to the Tanchjim Bunny albeit less warmer and more emphasis on the highs, as well as having a bit more bass compared to the Bunny.

• Speaking about the Moondrop Space Travel and their other variants like its form-factor, the shape of the Moondrop Pudding is a welcome change for me, for I have gotten sick of the stem shaped style. With the new shape being used for the Pudding, the overall fit and comfort for the Pudding is a huge step forward compared to their past models. (With the exception of the Robin, for that one is an IEM-shaped style TWS, but the Pudding is like $50.)

• With the form-factor being more like an IEM, you can pretty much use any eartips you have from your collection with no more compatibility issues. Yes, even the stock tips from the Moondrop Pudding are good, it feels like a liquid-silicon type of tips for the grip is on point in my ears, does not slip off one bit and it’s obvious that those eartips can be used on other IEMs as well.

• Since this is a TWS audio, it is a given that the ANC functionality of this should be adequate, even better if that essential capability is good. I am happy to say that the overall ANC functionality of the Moondrop Pudding is great for its given price. I say it’s great because I have given this an all-nighter while I was sleeping, and the ANC of this set cloaks the background noises from my air conditioner so well that I can peacefully sleep without being bothered at all.

• Let’s talk about the battery life of this unit, and yes, the battery life of the Moondrop Pudding is great. As I said earlier, I slept with this unit in my ears with ANC on, as well as its audio codec being LHDC, what did you know? The thing still has a remaining charge around 60% and to me that is impressive for I slept around like 7-8 hours during that time. Results may vary due to our different sleep cycles, but to me that is well done.

• Yeah, sure we need ANC to block the noise around us, or we do that to focus on something that is important; but what if you cannot be bothered to remove the thing? Guess what? There is a Transparent mode on this one, and the transparent mode on most TWS are either too boosted or just sound unnatural. I am happy to report that the Transparent mode from the Pudding is natural and, in some cases, sounds better with the Transparent mode instead with the ANC on. (I will explain it on the cons section.)

• Let’s talk about looks, I know this look is not going to be for everyone, especially to the people who are not into the anime aesthetic or waifu-oriented packaging which is the main selling point from Moondrop. For me though, as a fan of anime/manga-related things? I find this one really cute. It’s really endearing for me when they show this kind of stuff to this hobby, and yes, the chibi form of Mitsuki Yuki being shown inside the box as a sticker like box cutout with her reaching for the Pudding? It’s perfect.

• It really looks like a Pudding for real, especially with the yellow color. Sure, it looks a bit toned down and not vibrant as the usual yellow color that we get from other earphones, but in person? It looks better compared to the release images being shown by Moondrop from their website.

• Dual device connectivity is supported by this one, meaning you are using your main device with the Pudding and while it is connected, you can connect it to another device that you use as well. I admit I have not used the feature yet due to me using the LHDC codec for this one. (I will explain on the cons section why that is the case.)

• You can fully unlock the Moondrop Pudding with the Moondrop Link app. From the app you can choose or create your own PEQs or gather some personalized DSPs from Moondrop officially or from the community that made their own tunings that you can download and try for yourself. The best ones that I have given a try and been using ever since is the tuning called “D.T.A.S”. To me it’s still the Moondrop Pudding stock tuning but with more energy on the highs.

• This one has gotten even better with the recent firmware update. Why? Because the recent firmware update finally provides that anime girl voice prompt again that we love from their other TWS Moondrop products. Mitsuki Yuki says hi again as an option for you to choose via the Moondrop Link as a sound prompt. Also some issues pertaining about the Pudding itself has been resolved with the recent firmware 3.5.2 and you will see the following fixes being shown by the log. (Now if they can only fix their QC issues, that would be great as well.)

CONS:

• The tuning is good and sounds an improvement over the Moondrop Space Travel, and Nekocake variants that they have that is for sure. But if you are one of those who is looking for a set that is like a detail, technical and stage monster? Obviously this is not it. This is more like for convenience, gets the job done producing sounds that are really good and blocking sounds good enough for its given price. More of a musical set than an analytical and technical set for sure. You’ll get more of those sounds that I have mentioned on IEMs that are wired.

• Despite this one being a TWS, there is no clear explanation if this one has any form of IP resistance, for I cannot find a single information about the Pudding relating to this. I am not going to take this out or even test it while it is raining for, I want to keep it working for a long time. So yeah, you might want to avoid using this while you are showering or something, and that sucks for a TWS audio.

• The overall build of this one is plastic. I am skeptical about its long-term durability when wear and tear comes to mind due to many uses. I am going to treat this one gently as much as I can, for this piece is not rugged to take a lot of abuse, hell I am afraid to drop this one on the floor accidentally. So please if I were you, take care of this well, or you might get a broken TWS sooner than later.

• Man, oh man since it’s a plastic build, there are some units of the Pudding still has some remaining excessed plastics left on the nozzles. I guess the factory worker or the one who are like creating the mold for the Pudding either gotten lazy or fell asleep on the wheel, and there are some reports of users having that problem. Luckily for me mine does not have that issue, but it’s unfortunate for the other ones who got a set with that problem. So let out the exacto knife then start peeling off those excess plastic pieces.

• Speaking of QC issues, this is one of the main gripes I have had with Moondrop. Their quality control or lack thereof is frustrating for me overall, for I have so far nothing but a bad track record from them, starting from the Moondrop Starfield original and to the Moondrop Space Travel 1, those two eventually stopped functioning well due to the QC issues. Yes, even the Pudding as well is affected, for I have read and learned from users that the charging case can encounter issues in relation to the battery just stopped emitting power to charge the earpieces, and as well as the earpieces not getting any form of charge anymore. I hope and I hope! This one does not get that, for this is a cautionary set if those mentioned issues come to fruition eventually.

• Ok, this should not be the case at all, when ANC is on it should not affect the overall sounds of the earbuds right? Guess what? This is so weird when the ANC is on from the Pudding. According to A-tech Reviews aka Axel from his video about the Pudding, I agree with the ANC on, it changes the sound badly, for it does become congested, the bass is reduced and tucked, overall weird. With the D.T.A.S DSP preset that I downloaded that can be resolved that issue or perhaps a firmware update? Yeah, with ANC on, this sounds weird.

• I have mentioned you can fully unlock the full function of the Moondrop Pudding by using the Moondrop Link app right? Well, that is also the con of it, for you need that app in order to fully take advantage of the capabilities of the Pudding. Without the app, you cannot change the function of the touch controls on the faceplates, you cannot change the PEQ for the Pudding, You cannot use LHDC without the Moondrop Link, for you need to go to the settings to turn it on, instead of it being the default codec for your phone.

• With LHDC as the default codec for your audio, you cannot use dual device connectivity. I am not sure what is like the main reason why you cannot use one, because if it is a possibility on other products similar to the Pudding, I cannot see the reason why not have that feature just because of that codec being selected specifically. (To the people who are more familiar or experts to this particular part of audio, please tell me why it is not possible to do so.)

• You are pretty much going to have a hard time creating your own PEQ and sharing it with everyone. Because you need to freaking use a cellphone number to register your own Moodrop account which is uhh..questionable? I prefer the usual way of registering your own account, but this method seems to be not safer in a privacy look. So yeah, Moondrop, please change that method.

• The firmware update is just buggy. I updated mine earlier and I cannot tell if the update is done or not for the result I got after the update says it failed, even though that was not the case. Also, the app freaks out when you use it too fast, it’s like telling you to “Slow down buddy! I can only handle so much input!” Come on Moondrop! At least fix the internal coding of your programs which is a shame for the aesthetics that you got are really good.

• OK, one more complaint. On the Moodrop Link app while you are setting up settings for the Pudding, there is one option that I don’t see the reason having it there. What is even the purpose of the Tune EQ option? Why is it there? Because there is only a single option available for it, which is the Reference setting. You expect to do your PEQ there right? No! You got to go to the Online Interactive DSP, select either basic or advanced mode, then do the EQ you want. This is one missed setting that should have been done correctly in the first place.

• STI Personal Sound Preferences? WTF is that? And what sucks about it is that you need to be logged in for you to use it, which makes the option overall useless, unless you have found something a safer way to register for the Moondrop Account. So yeah, to me, it’s useless when you don’t have a Moondrop account. A deadweight option.

• To those likes the default audio prompts of the Pudding when you’re changing the ANC Off/On, changing tracks, answering and missing calls, this is a safer choice. But to me, since this is Moondrop and with Moondrop you associate it with an anime waifu voice prompt, it’s not going to be an option at first, for you need to update the firmware in order for it to be an option again.

• Finally, if you’re not a fan of the anime aesthetic, this might not be for you. I’d suggest to look for an another set that is just straight to the point TWS that sounds good and gets the job done doing ANC and as a form of convenient audio. (More of a nitpick, also the other colors like the white and black variants, they do not look like a Pudding to me.)

• I have mentioned before that the ANC on this one is good, it is really good when it really works but there are times for me that the ANC just acts weird. Meaning there are times there is to a point that it is absolute silence, then suddenly a slight change on the ANC will occur like I am suddenly hearing a bit of sound on either earpiece. It must have been on the AI that they are using on this one, for it should really be straightforward of it just being ANC, just blocking the sound.

OVERALL:

If you are looking for a convenient form of audio while you are working out, doing office work and just want a set that can shut your surroundings really well, the Moondrop Pudding is a solid choice for $50. I exercise with caution recommending this due to the looming QC issues that may happen to some of the users who have bought a pair and suggest an another look around for a similar set that has better quality control and lesser issues. I am not exactly a particular expert when it comes to TWS since I am still entirely new to this section of the hobby, but I can at least provide an alternative like the Tanchjim Mino or the Soundpeats H3 which I cannot have a full conclusion on getting instead for I have not tested both. So yeah it's a good but cautionary set due to me having a bad track record with Moondrop, but when they work, they work really good which still infuriates me to this day. It's like two steps forward, three steps back. Get it together Moondrop, for have the potential to be like Tanchjim in terms of quality but you just refuse to do so!

Finally a good convenient wireless audio for me. (Moondrop Pudding)

I bought this one for I needed a good audio when I am working out and doing other stuff, and there are days that I just don't feel like using my wired IEMs with a bluetooth dongle DAC/AMP. Here comes the Pudding and yeah for it's price, it's really good and solid for $50 but I got this one for like $30 during like a sale.

So overall, it sounds good and that is like the Moondrop sound that I remember like back then, not all can be a fan of it but as for me I find it good. It's not gonna be a technical, detail and stage monster like the IEMs I have but it gets the job done. I tested this one last night as I sleep and yeah the battery life on this one is impressive and I was like use ANC with LHDC mode on.

It's really light and comfortable but the fit can be tricky for some people because at least for me it fitted me well, but for the others you might want to tip roll just to get it working, and yes the stock tips on this one for me is good.

Overall, this thing is lifesaver for my menial and daily tasks, it gets the job done, it's a waifu set for there is like cute chibi anime character with the small card and I love the look, and yes I chose the yellow color for I need something of a variety, for most of my gear have been either black or silver, this one is like different for once.

I bought this one for the anime waifu, but the sounds impressed me in a different way. (Hidizs My Lin)

So I bought this one from a friend who is also part of the Discord server I am in, and that said friend decided to sell this to me for I was really looking for this set for a while now due to me being curious how it sounds, needed a replacement for the IEMs I gave away as a wedding gift and I just wanted an anime waifu IEM.

So I got the My Lin, and according to the graph, this has got to be the bassiest set I have and most of my IEMs are not in that spectrum of sound, sure there are some are bass-boosted but not as slamming as the My Lin's mid-bass. Also I did some comparison with this one with the 7Hz x Crinacle Diablo, they are quite close base on the graph but I cannot full say that they sound similar for I have not demoed the Diablo.

It's a V-shaped set yes, but the mids on this one for me at least is surprisingly still clear, you can hear the vocals on both male and females naturally and I often heard that V-shaped tuned IEMs have like recessed vocals but not the My Lin at least for me.

Overall it's a good set, I love the look, the comfort for me is on point though you gotta use like tips with longer nozzles, the rest of the accessories from the My Lin, I'll probably use those at some point for display like the acrylic stand.

For 15USD, this might be one of the blind buys (Harmonic Empire Cai Wenji)

EDIT: I forgot to add BEST on the title, well I cannot edit the title anymore. For 15USD, This might be one of the BEST blind buys is what I meant to type on the title.

I know this set has been posted here or on other subreddits before, but I just wanted to share this one for I got legit surprised by this. For $15, this has got to be one of the best blind buys I did, for I was searching for a set that I can use as a beater set for I currently have fewer IEMs than before.

Overall the tuning is solid, a really musical set and it's perfect for my use case when I am in a commute or going outside along with my friends for a trip and I am in need of an audio that I can rely on without worrying too much.

Bass is not for bass heads for sure but to me it's balanced enough, the mids are actually natural, good for both male and female vocals and the highs are sure not that airy as my other sets but it is a treble that is well-rounded that it does not hurt my ears in long sessions of listening. Oh did I mention that the fit on these for me at least are comfortable?

So yeah overall, $15 for this is impressive, and well done Tangzu, well done.

My review/impressions on the Xenns Tea Pro: A value beast.

It has been a while people, and I have been gone for a while now due to me trying to avoid some of the recent stuff that involves with this hobby, simple reasoning would be me saving my money for more sensible things and as well as I am current satisfied with the current IEMs and sources that I have.

Now time to share my thoughts, impressions and review as much as I can on the Xenns Tea Pro.

Pros:

  • I think this IEM is one of the best I have ever gotten when it comes to its overall build. It uses a metal shell instead of the usual resin builds that we have been getting a lot on this given price point, and we really need more IEMs like these, and yeah I have a feeling that this one is a really durable one.
  • The overall shape and size of this can be a bit large on the ears for some, but due to its proper implementation of its shape and contour on the shells, when I have used this one, this is one of the comfortable sets I have used. And with the fit for me being just right in my ears and as well as being comfortable, this does not loosen for me at all.
  • I know we're still in the section of the build and shape of the IEMs, I must say the faceplates of this one is just beautiful. It really screams premium feel and sophistication, and this is not even a flagship IEM, hell this one looks more beautiful compared to some of the other IEMs in a much higher price range.
  • The overall presentation that they did with the Tea Pro for me is really sublime. Colorful box, and I know some of you do not care about it too much but I just wanted to appreciate on how they presented the Tea Pro. Not only with the box, but the included accessories such as its puck-styled case, the cable, its pouch for the earpieces, the cable being modular, cable clump and the included eartips.
  • A really musical set for me, well more like a blend in-between the two which I really like when it both works really on aspects of the sound for some prefer the musical side while the others prefer a more analytical sound. The Tea Pro does both but I think it leans a bit more on the musical spectrum of the sound despite it being capable of doing the analytical side.
  • An overall bass-boosted warm neutral set, which I really needed from for I have heard a lot of IEM sets that are just V-shaped in nature with too much emphasis on the lows and highs, making me just overall bored on those types of sounds. With the Tea Pro, this one is basically my tuning reset IEM that I also got when I used to own the Volume S back then.
  • Due to its overall tuning of it being a bass-boosted warm neutral, an another type or iteration of the JM1-Neutral tuning, this set is pretty much an all-arounder set. I can throw any genre on this, be it rock, metal, hip-hop, classical, edm, pop, etc. They all sound good to me with the Tea Pro.
  • I tried this set for gaming and I must say this set is really no slouch to gaming performance as well. Fresh Reviews did a more in-depth video about the gaming side of the Tea Pro which he can explain better than me, but to me this one is really good for the imaging and separation which those are needed for gaming are impressive. The stage is above average there is some staging but not to a degree similar to the MEST MK. II that I have but it's good enough that it is a wall hack tier IEM which I agree with Fresh Reviews.

Cons:

  • More of a nitpick for me, despite this one have a good treble presentation that is not fatiguing and making it overall good for longer listening sessions, the airiness that I want from this set is really lacking for me. I get it a lot from my Top Pro, hence why I prefer the Top Pro more in overall sound, but with the Tea Pro SE existing now most of you would go for it but the thing is a limited release, therefore if you want more airiness on the highs, the Tea Pro is not one for that use.
  • Also the treble on this one despite it being non-fatiguing to me? It can be fatiguing to some people who are more treble-sensitive than me for this one can be intense sounding on some tracks. Yes I know, it's a relaxing set and a more musical set but yeah despite the graph showing the treble is not a lot/nor it is intense, it can get to that level, so you might wanna lower the volume a bit if it involves like busy tracks or tracks with a lot of strings.
  • This one is both good on the musical and analytical right? Well I did mention that this one leans more a bit on the musical side of sound, meaning this one has a weakness. On busy tracks it can get congested, for there are some tracks in my library that lacks cohesiveness with this set. So yeah this one performs better on tracks that are much more moderately pace and a more chill side compared to a track with a lot more pace and complexity.
  • Since this is a versatile set and due to the tuning being an all-arounder, this can be boring to some. For it's not taking any risks or going for a niche tuning where you can be blown away by other aspects of the sound like having more rumble on the lows, vocal nirvana on the mids and even detail by detail gathering technicalities on the highs, for this one is an overall safe tuning and more for the people who wants a more casual listening.
  • Despite the accessories being well-represented on the Tea Pro along with its box, the main accessory which is the cable is a bit of a pain in the ass, for it's not really a soft cable that behaves well. It's a bit of a clunky cable for it did have some kinks, a bit stiff for me and as well as not really fitting to the Tea Pro's overall look. I changed my cable to a different one for the stock cable is just fine but not really a fan of it.
  • This has not happened to me and I hope it does not happen to others but there are some moisture buildup that can happen to any of the earpieces due to its material of it being metal and making the sound on some of the pieces sound a bit weaker than usual due to build up of moisture and yes earwax plays a factor on it. Make sure you clean this one thoroughly before and after each use.

I overall love this set and I do not regret one bit getting this one after selling my Letshuoer Ember. So yeah I changed my cable to Xinhs' and as well as changed the eartips for this set and I am currently using Nicehck's C04 eartips for it.
