I made a decorative plate as a gift

Ok first, know that this is my first reddit post, I literally created an account to post this. Hope you like it.

In 2024 my brother told me to play Outer Wilds completely blind. I did, and enjoyed every second of it. So to thank him for this great adventure, I built this.

You can't see it in the pictures, >!but the stars have different amounts of glow-in-the-dark paint, making them fade out at different times.!<

I started the project in November 2024 and I originally planned to give it to him in February 2025, as a welcome back gift from a two year trip in a foreign country for his studies. But it took me waaaay longer than that to build. I clearly did not actively work on it the whole time, but I finished it only in June 2026 and gave it to him in July 2026 in the end. He loved it ! :)

How did I made this? It's a mix of laser cutting, acrylic and glow-in-the-dark painting, and paper printing, cutting and gluing. If you want the full process I detailed it on the website of my fab lab here. (Just know that it's in French)
