Is 300 units of Botox normal for first time??

(25F) Got a TMJ consult at my dentist (Canada) since waiting for my referral for the ENT was going to take wayyy too long (years). I’ve had TMJ for over 10 years and sometimes it’s so bad I can’t eat, have migraines, and pretty much have constant ringing in my ears. I feel it every day and it’s just gotten so bad recently that it was genuinely making me feel like I just couldn’t do it anymore. So saw my dentist, he took lots of pictures and examined it and then got back to me that it’d be 300 units and would be 1,200. I’ve tried night guards (continue to wear), physio, biostim, massage, muscle creams, medications, heat, and even just finished Invisalign. None of these things provide me genuine relief. I am diagnosed with anxiety and autism, so im just generally uncomfortable and clenching 24/7.

Is this a normal amount and price??

Looking to understand more!

Hi! I’m 25 years old and the past year I’ve been making progress figuring out my hip pain. Recently saw an orthopaedic dr. The other day and he went over my MRI. I got the MRI because I had a hip x-ray that found “at least mild osteoarthritis” in both of my hip joints. The dr. explained that the MRI showed Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) in both of my hips and gave me a handout to read/explained. He ended up referring me for another MRI and to an orthopaedic surgeon. He told me they will look over my scans etc and kinda see what they can do but he did mention a hip arthroscopy may be an option and gave me a handout for that.

He was generally very helpful and kind but I guess I’m still left wondering what’s going to happen? I know I have to wait to see the surgeon and they’ll tell me more based off of recent and new MRI’s. It’s just the dr. I saw mentioned that they don’t always do hip arthroscopy for people who’ve already developed osteoarthritis and then I read some studies that say it’s often not as successful depending on how bad the OA is. Idk what I’m looking for here tbh but maybe some advice or words of encouragement.

I’ve never played intense sports, I was not a heavy child by any means, and I’ve never had any bad injuries so myself and the drs. Have been a little perplexed why I have it so bad so young. It’s tough being 25 and having a hard time putting on my shoes, socks, bending down in general, and I’ve been having harder times with my favourite activities like hiking.

Thanks in advance for any advice or words!
