I passed SQE2 as an LPC Graduate
For context, I finished the LPC in 2021 and whilst I worked on and off as a paralegal for under a year i basically haven’t been working in law since.
I was terrified of sitting seeing that the pass rate for people who have come from the LPC is 36%! I had zero support from anyone and there’s not much information for people in this position. I used ULaw as a provider as my firm paid for the but they were terrible and I wouldn’t recommend. The bulk of my revision came from making my own notes and using AI to help. Learning the FLK is incredibly important if you’re in this position as you are starting from a disadvantaged position.
Saying that, I managed to learn everything in under 3 months whilst still having a life. I scored 72% overall which is a comfortable pass and I didn’t get any zeros in my marks. I did get a couple 1s but overall I was mostly getting 4s and 5s, particularly for the skills elements (I think this is where the LPC benefits you!)
I wanted to make this post to add reassurance to those in the same position as I didn’t see much online. Feel free to comment any other questions!
