(Neb) I'm being evicted questions
My husband and I have been living here since 2013. My roommate's mom owns the house. We are behind on rent and have missed several payments over the last 2 years for several health related reasons. However, over the last 2 years, our floor drain has backed up almost every other day. We have paid to rent augers with 75 to 100 ft lines to snake it out every few months Every time we'd pull out more and more tree roots. We have had to deal with this disgusting human waste sewer water, on us and on our things, for 2 years. I don't want to stay anywhere I'm not wanted, but I need more time. I was told I would have until 11/1, but the hearing is 10/13. Do I have any room to ask for at least that much time? What makes it more difficult is no one wants to rent to you if you have an eviction. Any actual legal advice would be more than appreciated. I don't know how to write a legal response to the court notice.
