UK - Service not showing in MyHyundai app

About 2 weeks ago, I had a questionable 50k service at my Hyundai garage (UK), which was absolutely shambolic. After raising a complaint for not seeing any evidence of the service (greasing hinges, tyres pressures unequal, missing software updates) the car was "serviced" a second time. Not much of an improvement there either. I won't be doing those interval services anymore as it looks like a waste of time and money.

How long does it take for the service to show up in the MyHyundai app?

2021 64kwh Kona latch issues

Since about a month the tailgate latch has malfunctioned about 4 times (with once draining the 12v battery) and last weekend the charger port door latch has unlocked spontaneously twice during a ride.

The car has done 40k miles, 9k miles since last service a year ago and 1.4k miles in last 10 days.

Could the warmer and dry weather (UK) have something to do with it? Or is it normal that these latches start failing after 5y of service?

How to train for >3000m ascent on 200km gravel rides?

Last weekend during a 2 day gravel ride, with about 280km and 3500m ascent, I was struggling on the second day with any bigger climbs, and towards the end of the day, even granny gear was too much. On the road I don't seem to struggle that much.

During the ride I was doing about 50-60g carbs per hour, but eventually succumbed to entire body exhaustion, despite plenty fluids and food intake. The legs felt fine on the flat sections, but hills didn't work any more.

This made me wonder how I can train better for big climbing days. I would like to be able to do 200km per day with 3000m ascent on gravel rides without bonking. Any suggestions?

Some collect stamps, I collect stones

3 weeks after my first 18h attack with 9 out of 10 pain , I finally had an ultrasound done today. The specialist discovered 15 stones, in an otherwise healthy looking gall bladder. Some of the stones were about 8mm in diameter, and they were all mobile.

After 1 week of very low fat diet, I have now gone back to an almost normal diet, bar cheese, high fat foods and any cookies/pastries. Today is the first time I have had some mild symptoms, after snacking 'Balti Mix'.

Following guidance from the specialist, my plan is to work through an elimination diet to identify "bad" foods. i will also be put on the list for surgery, but apparently that list is 2-3y long (UK)

What are the common triggers for you guys?

I have joined the club

Hi folks,

I had a 18h gallstone attack this week, and I am now on the months long waiting list for surgery (UK...sigh). Going by the symptoms, I must have had more attacks the last couple of years, but I just put it down to stomach pain and continued eating my normal diet, which had approx 40-50g fat per day (cooking oils, meat, nuts& seeds, cookies, dairy). Off course I am now struggling with low fat food and I am somewhat confused about conflicting guidance, especially about nuts.

I love nuts&seeds as a slow energy source in my sporty lifestyle (my energy demands often exceed 4000kcal per day) but they too contain fats. You can only eat so many carbs before it becomes demoralising.

What is the consensus on eating these delicious little food items? Anyone here who got attacks triggered by them? Or are they safe?

Low fat nutrition during an ultra

I have just been diagnosed with gallstones (ouch), possibly triggered by a diet change & 10kg weight loss in prep for my first ultra. I have been increasing my intake of high protein food (dairy, nuts, meat) during training days to aid recovery, but this off course also increased fat intake.

Now that needs to change, which is a bit of a challenge. What easily available low fat foods should I consider to keep my energy levels sufficient in rides, without triggering another gallstone attack.
