Hi all!

I am just trying to get some help here and to see if anyone else is in the same position.

My grandfather was born in Northern Ireland and holds a British/Northern Ireland passport. My father was born in New Zealand and also holds a British/Northern Irish passport, although I am unsure whether he is registered on the Foreign Births Register.

Would I be eligible to apply for an Irish passport rather than a British/Northern Ireland passport, given that my grandfather was born in Northern Ireland, despite holding a British passport?

If anyone else has been through this process, I would also really appreciate any guidance on the steps you took and how you navigated the process.
