Decision on Inflatable tub? Worth my time?
I've been looking at inflatable hot tubs for awhile, and I think I want to try and get one this summer/fall. I was reading previous posts, but had some questions that I didn't really see any answers to
I dont have the money to spend on a professional style tub, but i think i could spare the money on a inflatable to see if we enjoy it enough
- Intex vs Bestway
- It seems Bestway manufactures all the Saluspa's? Is one better than the other though?
- Intex seems to have higher quality tubs with hard water systems, and built in Saltwater treatments?
- My wife and I dont have enough room for a pool AND hot tub, so we were hoping we could set the water to a less temperature like 80 degrees and still enjoy a refreshing dip in the summer and then turn the water temp back up when we want it to be a actual hot tub?
- is this an actual feasible thing to do?
- Round vs Square?
- I saw several posts where it said the Round was very hard to fit 2 adults comfortably due to the size. Like if you both wanted to outstretch your legs it wouldn't be comfortable
- Insulating the tub
- I know the energy sense ones come insulated, but has anyone insulated it more? Like putting 2" XPS foam underneath the tub? Or building a custom enclosures to insulate the sides more?
- Has anyone put a top over the tub? Like a tent to help keep the temperature in?
- Salt Water vs other treatments
- Is one better than the other in the inflatables? I would prefer the salt water, as we have very hard water, and have sensitive skin
