Interested in Freediving

Hi, I am a PADI certified AOW diver, and am looking to get into freediving.

I think freediving is more my style. I like to just explore and look at stuff. I dont really like all the BS that comes with scuba (and especially not the costs).

I can travel for salt water diving, but where I live its mostly freshwater environments. But would probably still be cool to look at.

I was looking at some PADI freediving courses, and was wondering if I should do them or if they're worth it? I know freediving isnt as complex scuba, but it still has its own complications.

Any tips?

Thank you

Bouyancy issues?

Hello, I am an AOW certified diver, but I notice I still have lots of trouble with my bouyancy. I cant quite seem to find the sweet spot of neutral bouyancy where I can lie like superman. I'll descend, and basically sink, so I'll add some air to my BCD to find my neutral bouyancy, and I'll just end up ascending.

I also find I still use my arms to keep off the ocean floor and not ascend.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

How to become an occupational diver?

Hello, I really want to be an occupational diver. Not really commercial diving (things like welding, inspection, pipes etc)

The dream really would be doing things like aquarium diving, underwater photography, and scientific diving. Though I am far from a scientist.

Theres no way in hell I could afford ADAS courses, but I am currently trying to become as PADI certified as possible. So far I am AOW certified and will be doing my rescue course soon.

So how can I break into occupational diving? is it best to travel for work and courses? what are typical 'beginner' diving jobs?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you
