Family, I'm not sure if we're getting Ale-8-One Day (8/1/26) at this point.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of Ale-8-One; it is also the Year of the Horse on the Chinese zodiac. Winchester literally has the Mandate Of Heaven, however, there's a problem.
In the past, I unironically called the offices of Beshear, McConnell, Paul and for some reason Barr, thinking for some asinine reason that they would pass legislation to recognize the holiday on a state-level. However, last year, a Redditor from Clark county got in-touch with me and instructed me to make a submission to WinCity Voices.
So I did... yesterday.
I had the entire first half of the year to make a submission and I waited till a little over a month before August 1st. An act of God would have to occur for my message to reach city council in time. My fellow Bluegrass brethren, I have let you down once again. If we don't get Ale-8-One Day this year, I don't think we ever will.
It's "AleOver"
