Question re Palpitations
I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar palpitations to the above. I have an unusual EKG due to congenital heart defects but it typically looks like the first line of the above EKG. In November 2025 I began feeling palpitations that I could then record on an Apple Watch that look like the second and third lines of the EKG. I’ve been to the hospital several times and while my heart rate has gone up to 300 once, an EP said that the above looks like normal sinus rhythm, not arrhythmia, which is also what the watch says. But while these palpitations used to be quick, since June 17 I’ve been having these palpitations nonstop, to the point of not being able to feel if I’m having them or not. My left neck vein used to throb when I would feel them and I would get a sense of panic, but now I don’t know if my heart will go back to normal. I also tried taking metoprolol for 2 weeks, highest does a day was 25 mg, but I’ve stopped now and it never helped. Otherwise, I have no other symptoms. I’m scheduled for an EP study later this month.
