Just started 2 day prep

I'm 28F and started my prep an hour and a half ago for colonoscopy and endoscopy. I'm a first timer and a bit nervous!

This past week I was on Linzess which was just prescribed for daily use by a new GI. There is NO way I'm going to continue that because I've already had diarrhea for just about a week...

Took 4x dulcolax at 5pm

Now half way through the 4oz of miralax in 32 oz of Gatorade

Ready for a fun 4th of July ! There are going to be fireworks in my bathroom for sure

Autoimmune and colonoscopy prep

Holy hell. I haven't even begun the actual bowl prep, but being off of all of my supplements for the past 5 days made me realize how much they truly do manage my symptoms.

I have endometriosis, EBV, and that blanket statement of autoimmune that hasn't been figured out yet.

For about 2 years I've been taking a variety of supplements, herbal and others... I had no idea how much they've supported my system.

By day two my fingertips were super sensitive and peeling, between my toes I started developing sores, my abdominal pain increased greatly, and my lymph nodes in my throat and armpits started to swell and ache. Now on day 5 I am so itchy, starting to get hives on the backs of my knees, shoulder, and stomach. The fatigue and brain fog is a solid 8 but I can't seem to sleep because my hips / back just don't feel secure? that doesn't feel like the right word but idk how else to put it...

I was taking

NAC (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine)

PEA (palmitoylethanolamide)

Oil of oregano

Echinacea/ goldenseal

Vitamin D complex

Reacted Zinc

Vitamin B12

Omega-3

Why the fuck can I take the pharmaceuticals and not the supplements!? I'm suffering.

First dose of linzess

Finally visited a GI who knows something about Endo.. and they suggested Linzess. I was super hesitant because my BM fluctuated with my cycle. Generally I have diarrhea with menstruation and constipation with ovulation and a fun mix in-between. My MRI shows DIE with adhesions on uterosacral ligaments and tethering of the posterior uterus to the rectum.

My new Endo specialist said I was valid to be wary about taking it since my cycle affects my bowel movements so she figures it's hormonal... However I was in extreme discomfort anyway and took the sample. I also have a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy scheduled in 5 days so I figure no better time to start a purge...

Let me tell you. Within 45 min the rumbles kicked in, no more discomfort that I usually experience. But I had movement without pain for the first time in a while.. we shall see how the next couple hours go.. but so far I'm pleasantly surprised! Wondering if anyone else also experienced a diuretic effect with Linzess?
