Does anyone have an idea of when As usually roll out for transfer applications?

Would there be any reason that it’s bad to do a summer school course during 1L summer? Did not get a 1L job, working part time elsewhere, but just losing my mind. I don’t want it to ruin my 2L recruit chances.
