Anyone from the south east recommend any spots for beginners?

Recently moved to Brighton, have been surfing for 8 months abroad and want to start up again.

From what I’ve seen shoreham harbour and hot pipes look for advanced/intermediate surfers? I’ll be using a 8-9ft beginner board
