Kindness is free
There’s been some misunderstanding about Guanadorian and her use of hot pink.
My friend has been using hot pink as her signature color for years — long before she ever joined Reddit. If you scroll through her TikTok, you’ll see it everywhere: her car, her kitchen, her tools, her branding, her flamingo obsession. Hot pink isn’t a trend she picked up. It’s part of who she is.
She came into this community excited to share her art and connect with other wax seal lovers. She wasn’t trying to copy anyone, and she certainly wasn’t trying to upset anyone.
Two artists can love the same color. A color doesn’t belong to one person.
What’s been hard to watch is how quickly assumptions were made about her intentions. It felt unfair, and honestly, surprisingly harsh toward someone who has only ever shown kindness and enthusiasm here.
I’m not here to point fingers — just to remind us that words matter, and that misunderstandings don’t have to turn into hurtful moments.
I hope we can all take a breath, look at the bigger picture, and choose kindness. Let’s celebrate creativity — not police it.
