What to cook for my girlfriend who’s based out of Calicut

Hey y’all, I’ve been dating my gf for almost a year now and she’s from Kozhikode. We are settled in Chennai and she misses Kerela based food a lot.
I’ve taken her to a couple of restaurants here, but they haven’t quite hit the spot for her.

So I’ve decided to take things into my own hands and cook something for her, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated (I wanna surprise her).

PS: we keep fighting about Chennai biryani vs Kozhikode biryani a lot lmao, should I just try to make the Kozhikode biryani? I’m not a pro chef myself so if it’s a lil hard to make, pls suggest something else 😭

Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Job reposted on LinkedIn after final round. How should I interpret this?

Had my final panel on Aug 4 and followed up with the recruiter on Aug 14. She replied saying that she has followed up with the team and will let me know as soon as she gets an update . My application still says “In Progress.”

Then today(Aug 16), I noticed the exact same role was reposted on LinkedIn.

I asked Claude about it and it said a common possibility is that they didn’t move forward with anyone from that round and are restarting the search.

Now I’m kinda overthinking it lol. Has anyone had something similar happen and still ended up getting an offer?

I’m genuinely super burnt out with this entire job hunting process. I’ve given so many rounds where I’ve had a super positive experience and end up being rejected for the role. I don’t wanna get my hopes up for this role, but it’s my dream organization and my dream job role, so I really hope I get this lol.

Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Recruiter replied after my thank-you but has been silent after my follow-up. Is this timeline normal?

Hi everyone,

I interviewed for a semiconductor engineering position and completed a final panel last Wednesday.

The next day, I sent a thank-you email to the recruiter, and he replied within a few hours saying that he will get me an update soon.

After not hearing anything for about a week, I sent a polite follow-up yesterday. As of today, I still haven’t received a response.

From a recruiter’s perspective, is it common not to reply to a follow-up if there isn’t an update yet? Is about a week after a final panel still considered a normal timeline, or should candidates start assuming the process is moving in another direction?
