HOSA ILC Cost

Hey everyone! Me and my team recently made it to HOSA ILC. Basically, we have to travel, and the flight and hotel combined is around 750$. But what wasn't told to us, was that we have 2 teachers coming as well. And now, we have to pay for our own tickets as well as covering theirs. So that adds around 200$ to each of our costs. Also, we have to pay the 160$ fee. My paretns can afford this, but I don't undersand why we are paying for our 2 chaperones. Is this normal among your schools? This means that we are paying over 1000$ just for flights and hotel and enterance. Again, just wondering if this is normal for you all, like are you paying for your chaperones, cause they are essentially getting a free trip. Also, we have like 11 kids, we dont need 2 chaperones.
