Lunch - dessert - dinner recommendations for someone coming from Montreal for one day?

Hey Ottawers, will have myself about 22 hours in Ottawa to explore the city for the first time. What places would you recommend for lunch, dessert and dinner that aren’t as prominent in Montreal that I could go for? Or just city staples in general. Also ideally pls no shawerma recommendations, I worked in a shawerma joint for 2 years lol. Thank you all!

Who is one player you’d like to see on the Raptors (REALISTIC)

So no AJ, Jokic, Shai Wemby where their teams have absolutely no reason to blow it up.

Edit guys I mean AJ as in AJ Dybansta the projected 1st overall pick of this draft lol

To all CFA Level I candidates

You have worked super hard and have studied for a long period of many months. My advice to you - do NOT study hard over the last day or 2 before your exam. At MOST, do very light revision, practice some ethics, and spend the rest of your time calming down.

Watch your favorite movie, hit the gym or go for a walk, eat your favorite meal and have some dessert. What’s important is you bring down your stress levels and these will make a huge difference on exam day. The added value of studying on your last day is way lower than decreasing your stress levels and clearing any brain fog. Also fix your sleeping schedule.

You’ll all ace this! Best of luck

Would changing your family name to CFA be a violation of the Standards?

Say you change your family name and you also get a PhD, does that mean you could go by Dr. CFA? I don’t remember anywhere in the curriculum where it states that it’s a violation to change your family name to CFA. Can I name my son CFA?

Too big for a screenshot so I copied the email text I received. This was sent to all May candidates:

We are aware of a cyber-security incident involving Instructure Holdings, Inc., the third party that hosts our Learning Ecosystem, Canvas. Consequently, we have disabled access to Canvas.

We are in touch with Instructure, and they have not yet provided CFA Institute with an estimate of when the system will be back online. Our team is actively monitoring the situation. Instructure has provided us with the following statement: “Our engineering teams are investigating the cause, and we are working to resolve this as quickly as possible.”

We realize this affects candidates’ access to the Learning Ecosystem, so we are working to provide you with freeaccess to a pdf or e-pub version of the curriculum as soon as possible; please watch your email for more information. Please note that this incident does not impact our testing centers. Thank you for your patience as we work with Instructure to resolve this as quickly as possible. We will update the CFA Institute website when we have new information.

User information may have been involved in the Instructure incident, including learner names and email addresses. We therefore advise candidates to be alert to phishing emails, texts, and other illicit communications. We further recommend that learners change their passwords associated with the email used on CFA Institute systems.

At this point, we have not detected unusual activity on CFA Institute systems. We take very seriously our responsibility to protect member and candidate data, and we are continuously monitoring for unusual activity.

We will let you know as soon as the Learning Ecosystem is available again or when we have more information.

Yours sincerely,

Hey everyone, as stated in my title, I’m deferring the L2 exam from may to August due to poor study habits.

No excuses to be made, I’ve just been completely out of it. I legit cannot afford to fail it (career wise especially) and am scared shitless of failing it as people who defer (especially due to poor study habit purposes) are far more likely to fail according to CFAI.

To those who have been in a similar situation, how were you able to tone it up and get it done? Would appreciate any and all advice, including tough love. Thank you
