Lower stress options?

So long story short, I recently experienced a significantly traumatic event and I'm working back toward full time work. Given my recent experiences, my threshold for being overwhelmed by work-related stress is quite low, and as I've tried to transition back I've found that clients acting like everything is on fire all the time, combined with frequent criticism and constant deadlines, is not sustainable for me. I need to find something that is far less stressful than med comms.

I have a PhD in molecular biology and 8 years of professional writing experience in grants, CME, and med comms. I have leadership experience but have not been a manager in any professional role. Has anyone transitioned to something less stressful that they would recommend for someone with my background?

Prediabetes but healthy lifestyle

Like the title says... anyone else here fall into that boat? I workout regularly (cardio, weights, yoga), maintain a healthy weight, eat a balanced diet with more protein/fat than carbs, have zero family history of diabetes, and I still have an HbA1c of 5.7 putting me into the prediabetic range. I'm frustrated because all of the information out there says that the fix for this is to do the things I'm already doing, and I don't have more time to devote to exercise or to dramatically shift my diet. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to cope?

I had a dental appointment today after 7 or 8 years and the hygienist diagnosed me with gingivitis based on perio numbers (about half 3's, a quarter 2's, a quarter 1's) and the presence of bleeding after probing (about half of the areas probed). I had an overall negative experience and they insisted I need to come in twice in the next two weeks for scaling and gingival irrigation, but based on what I heard during my exam, I was under the impression that I was diagnosed with early stage gingivitis that shouldn't require scaling. Can anyone talk to me about this? I need to know if I should seek a second opinion before going back to this dentist for a cleaning. I plan to switch dentists after that (or before) because of how I was treated, but I'm also questioning their treatment plan.

Hello! If you had 1 1/2 days to do Yellowstone with a toddler (who still requires a mid-day nap), what would you prioritize? We are staying at Mammoth Lodge for two nights and will have the full day in between plus the morning of the day we head out.

My husband and I have been before but never with a kiddo!
