Cigarettes in Dreams
Hello, this is my first post on here because google hasn't been any help. For several months, I've been dreaming about cigarettes in almost every single dream. The weird thing is, I never actually smoke in the dream. I had two dreams where I sort of did. In one of them, I bit down on the cigarette so hard it completely bent and inhaling it felt weird. In the other one, my cousins handed me a Cuban cigar which I smoked the wrong way (opposite side to the filter) and the tobacco had the texture of fine powder and was crumbling and falling away as I was smoking and overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience.
For all the other dreams, there was usually a cigarette involved in some way such as being offered a cigarette but having to hide it from family and smoke it in secret, except the dream always ends before I get to smoke.
For context, I am a 20 year old woman, I've most commonly vaped before, but I've also taken one puff of a cigarette once and smoked hookah a few times under the supervision of my older brother (who sometimes acts like a guardian and would never want me smoking regularly). I am not an addict in any way, I only smoke when offered and don't have a problem not smoking on a day to day basis. During particularly tough times when I'm feeling anxious, I may get the desire to smoke but the thought never consumes my life, so I'm wondering why it's consuming my dreams.
