Question on Screen Replacement (how to shoot it)

So, i’ve been doing a bit of research lately on what’s the best way to shoot scenes that require screen replacement is.
I’m not talking about the best way to replace the screens but on how to setup the screen that needs replacement in the edit/composite.

Do you leave the screen black? (reflections are in)
Do you add a greenscreen? (with track marks or not?)
Any other color?
Does it depend on the device you want the screen to be replaced (phone, pc, ipad?)

Any input would be very much appreciated since i’m doing a project next week that will need some shots with screen replacements.

Thanks!

How to manage iPhone HDR Footage?

Okey i think either im stupid or smth is not working. I got handed iPhone Footage. No Log no plain 709 it’s HDR (atleast Quicktime shows the HDR Badge).

When i open the file in MediaInfo i see the following:
Color Primaries: BT. 2020
Transfer characteristics: HLG
Matrix coefficients: BT. 2020 non-constant
AmbientViewingEnvironment_Chromaticity: 314.000 lux

I now use a CST in Resolve:
Input: Rec2020, 2100 HLG
Ouput: Rec709, Gamma 2.4
Luminance Mapping on with max Input 1000 bits
Sat. Compression on.

It still looks way flatter and not really nice. And i’m not really talking it looks unbalanced - yes it does but it looks plain wrong (not color managed). Colors are off, saturation is off, everything is off.

What am i doing wrong?
