I got this tattoo about 20 years ago when I was a teenager. It’s roughly 5 inches across point to point (photo attached) and has faded quite a bit over the years.

I’m not looking for a full back piece. Ideally I’d like to stay close to the current footprint, maybe 20–40% larger if necessary.

I’m mainly looking for advice from artists or people who’ve had similar cover-ups:
- Does this look like a good candidate for a cover-up or would a rework make more sense?
- Are there any challenges with the current shape or placement?
- What types of designs might work well with something like this?

I’m trying to understand what’s realistically possible before I consider meeting with artists.
