In a shocking incident in Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl studying at Madarsa Mohsinat in Hammalipura was kidnapped, tortured, and sexually assaulted by three men.

The minor, who had been pursuing her education at the madrasa for about a year to fulfill her dreams, became the victim of a calculated conspiracy on May 3, 2026.

According to her father, Akeel, a resident of Sayyadpur Sakri village, the girl stepped out of the hostel around 8 AM to buy food items but did not return. The madrasa authorities immediately informed the family, prompting a desperate search.

The accused, Deepu, lured the innocent girl by falsely claiming that her mother was calling her. Trusting him, she approached, only to be forcibly dragged into his house in Sheikhpura, where she was locked up and held hostage for nearly two days.

During her captivity, the girl endured unimaginable brutality. Deepu, along with his brother Sanjeev and friend Dheeraj, allegedly forced her to consume alcohol disguised as a cold drink. They then raped her repeatedly. In a grotesque attempt to destroy her identity, the perpetrators applied sindoor in her hair parting and mahawar on her feet, staging a fake marriage.

On Tuesday afternoon, the brave girl managed to access a mobile phone and called her mother. In a terrified voice, she revealed her location by mentioning she could see the madrasa window from where she was tied up.

Acting swiftly on this vital clue, the family and locals searched nearby houses and found her unconscious and bound on the rooftop of Deepu’s house. Police were alerted via the 112 emergency helpline, and the girl was rescued and rushed to the district hospital.

Upon regaining consciousness, the victim narrated the entire ordeal. An FIR has been registered against the accused under relevant serious sections of the law. While Deepu fled the scene during the rescue, police have detained one accused for interrogation and assured strict action against all culprits.

This heart-wrenching case has sparked outrage, highlighting concerns over the safety of young girls studying in the area. Authorities have promised a thorough investigation to ensure justice for the victim.
