Can reherniation heal itself?

I’m 14 weeks post-op and I got to know last week that I got reherniated at the same level (l4-l5), not sure how it happened. It is a small bulge though!! No pain, just tingling and buzzing in my right foot. Doctor said, nothing to worry about & I need to strengthen my core to not make it worse.

Can re-herniated disc heal itself? Anyone healed without a second MD?

Re-herniation post MD

Hello All,

As the title says, I’m 13 weeks post op and have lower back tightness and tingling in foot. Got to know through MRI that I have re-herniated. No idea how it happened, I was following all the precautions.

Anyone went through this without going to surgery again?

12 Weeks After Bilateral Microdiscectomy: New Symptoms or Normal Recovery?

Hello Everyone!

I’m currently 12 weeks post-op from a bilateral microdiscectomy.

Over the past few days, I’ve started experiencing a dull ache in my lower back on the left side. I also notice a jolt-like sensation in my back when I cough. The good news is that I’m not having any pain radiating down my legs.

However, I’ve been getting intermittent hamstring twitching and a buzzing/vibrating sensation in both feet.

For those who are further along in recovery, does this sound like a typical post-op flare-up or nerve irritation as things continue to heal? Or is it something that would be worth contacting my surgeon about sooner rather than later?

I’d appreciate hearing about any similar experiences. Thanks in advance.
