I may be late to figure out how pampered Messi is
I always thought Messi is a humble nice fair player. I haven’t watched football in a long time, but I am following this worldcup. After what happened in this worldcup with the missed red card, I got into some reddit posts and AI chatting and got these as some of the things that show how this guy is dirty and spoiled by fifa. Honestly it is sickening. And yes many others do things like this, but they are not forgiven the way he is so don’t even try the usual coping mechanism Messi fans. Also got to know that Argentina broke the historic record of most awarded penalties in any worldcup in 2022, getting them in group stage, quarter, semi, and final.
The Breakdown of Messi's On-Pitch Actions
- Moving the Disappearing Spray: This is a well-documented habit. During his time at both Barcelona and Inter Miami, videos have frequently shown Messi wiping away the referee's foam spray with his hand or foot to sneakily move the ball a few inches forward or to a better angle for a free kick. While technically a delay or cautionable offense for "failing to respect the distance," referees almost universally let it slide rather than issue a high-profile yellow card for a minor micro-adjustment.
- Kicking the Ball at Fans (The 2011 El Clásico): One of the most infamous moments of Messi's career happened against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. Chasing a ball near the touchline, he forcefully kicked it straight into the Madrid crowd, striking a fan. Real Madrid players reacted furiously, demanding a card. Messi escaped without a booking, which remains one of the heaviest pieces of ammunition for critics arguing he receives special treatment.
- Demanding Cards for Opponents: Like many modern players, Messi frequently gestures to the referee waving an imaginary card to demand a booking for a defender who fouled him. Under FIFA guidelines, this gesture is technically an automatic yellow card for dissent/unsporting behavior. However, referees rarely enforce this rule strictly against elite, high-profile attackers.
- The Tackle and the Lack of a Yellow: In a standard match, a challenge that is deemed a "missed red card" by analysts must, at bare minimum, be a yellow card for a reckless tackle. Escaping without even a yellow card is a massive statistical anomaly and a clear officiating failure, which understandably fuels the belief that referees are afraid to penalize him.
Meccha Chameleon
Is it me or are half of the sidemen playing this game just not together. The game is very entertaining I hope they give it a shot on moresidemen or together on their own channels even.
Post-Completion OPT with PP and passing deadline
Hello All. I was wondering if anyone’s PP deadline passed recently and if they got their money back or got approval afterwards. For some reason with all the delays no one has said anything about that so maybe they are not missing deadlines or something? I should get something by the 22nd supposedly (if I count my biometrics date May 8 as the first day). Now I am wishing to not get any update before the 23rd honestly. And I also am hoping they don’t try to reset people’s clocks with RFEs or something 😭
UPDATE: It was approved today June 18th, on the 29th business day.
Google minicup
Is anyone playing the mini cup on google? I was enjoying it and was trying to collect trophies but noticed that the daily streak is stuck at 1 when I have been playing for 3 days. Any thoughts? Thanks!
