Where Can You Try Caroni (U.S.)?
Pretty much the title. I want to try Caroni while I still can but would rather not commit to the price of a full bottle. Certainly would splurge if I had the opportunity at a bar.
Extra points for bars in Florida.

This rum comes from the Worthy Park Estate in Lluidas Vale, Jamaica. Worthy Park grows their own sugarcane, and has a highly efficient sugar factory that provides molasses to the distillery. This blend is a mix of rums tropically aged 6 to 10 years. The marque is presumably Worthy Park Light (WPL), whose esters clock in at 60-119 g/hL AA. Fermentation is 30 hours at a constant 30 Celsius, and distillation occurs in a double retort pot still.
ABV: 45%
In the glass: Golden brown color, non chill-filtered, some sediment is present in my glass from a pour near the end of the bottle
Nose: green banana, glue, ethanol, citrus oil
Palate: some heat here especially near the end, banana bread, chocolate, glue, pleasant sweetness, honey, light oak, dates
Finish: spice, oak, black tea, vanilla, lemon, brown sugar boba tea, molasses, pleasant drying effect on the mouth
Value: decent value at $60-$65 if you can find it for that
I’ll preface this by saying I’m personally a big fan of bananas and the taste profile Worthy Park creates. This is a very good rum. It’s not super funky, but an easy to drink sipper that’s a nice accompaniment to the evening. It isn’t the most unique thing on the planet, but does what it sets out to do well. I understand why the pricing is the way it is, but I do wish this was around 10 to 15 dollars cheaper. Overall a solid dram and a nice baseline to do for my first review.
