Theory why Nolan films resonate so much with people
Let's see if you agree with this one.
Ever since The Prestige I've had a hard time putting my finger on Nolan's biggest strength.
I think it's controlling information.
His films constantly create a gap between what you know and what you want to know. You're always wondering what's coming next, what a character knows, how the rules work, or how different pieces will eventually connect.
And it's not just about twists. Nolan is very good at answering one question while immediately creating another.
That keeps you unusually engaged because you're not just watching the story, you're constantly trying to understand it and get one step ahead of it.
I think that sense of curiosity is the main reason why people love his films.
Maybe this is obvious and common sense, but just wanted to share what feels like something I just recently figured out lol.
