low ferritin despite supplementation

My ferritin has been on the low end for a while and I’m confused about why it isn’t improving much even with supplementation. Here’s the trend from my bloodwork:

• 06/21/2025 — ferritin 21
• 05/28/2026 — ferritin 13 (when supplementation started)
• 07/15/2026 — ferritin 26
• 10/06/2026 — ferritin 20

I’ve been taking ferrous sulfate 325 mg every other day for months. At first it seemed to be working as my ferritin doubled over the course of two months, however unfortunately now it has gone down again.
My periods are only about 4 days long and I’d really only consider the second day heavy. I’ve also had a normal upper endoscopy in March 2025 (unrelated to the low ferritin) and tested negative for H. pylori. My other iron metrics are totally normal as well, and my most recent B12 was also high/normal at 325.
What confuses me is that my ferritin was already around 21 well over a year ago, so this seems to be a persistent issue rather than a sudden drop.

Has anyone had ferritin that just wouldn’t increase despite oral iron? Did you eventually figure out whether it was an absorption issue, menstrual blood loss, something GI-related, or something else? Is there anything specific I should ask my doctor to test? This is giving me so much anxiety so anything would be greatly appreciated🙏 thank you so much!

exposure therapy

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has gone through exposure therapy for cardiophobia and how the experience with it went. I have a deep fixation and fear with sudden cardiac arrest and it takes up so much of my time and energy worrying about it, and my primary therapist suggested an outpatient OCD exposure response program. I know it will most likely be something that could help a lot but I am terrified to start. Just wondering if anyone has any experience/thoughts on it and what their exposures were. Thankyou!

help😅 VT and SVT

Hi, Below is my first monitor report from about 2 months ago, showing zero SVT or VT and only 18 SVEBS. I got another monitor about a week ago that showed over 700 PVCs and 500 PACs (still less than 1 percent burden) and the most distressing thing - a run of VT. my cardiologist said in the bottom of the report that there was no significant arrhythmias but obviously after experiencing scary flutters/skips starting outof the blue to seeing these new things on my monitor is odd. I cant meet with him again for a few weeks but I am so scared to do anything else that could get my hr up because I am scared the VT is going to happen again. (also for context, 24 yo female good shape, clean echo and stress test) just wanting to ask if this single episode of VT is something to really worry about or if my Dr was correct in that it is no big deal. Thank you so much!
