Ive noticed that shes losing some feathers under her eye. I’ve noticed that she has rubbed her face on perches occasionally. Its only on one eye. Also her cere used to be dark tan and now its crusting off into a light blue? She has been eating just fine.

Hello! New bird owner here. I just got my English Parakeet Pichu. I really want to make sure Im doing everything right. I got her about 4 days ago and the progress made with her is that I can get her to step on my finger with millet and she will let me sometimes pet her head. Recently shes been chirping more and running back and forth on her perch. Is she okay? Her diet is roundy bush and Harrison’s pellets, along with some broccoli, lettuce, carrots, and occasionally fruit. I put her in another room when I go to work because I have a cat and that room is so she is safe. I bring her back in my room during the day and I monitor my cat to make sure he is not harassing her. I take her out of the cage to work with her and tame her as shes still nervous and scared. Shes out for about 2 hrs and I play lots of music. I plan on getting more toys (any recommendations would be appreciated) and foraging food mats. Let me know what I can do better!
