Trua is a 20 year old male Icelandic killer whale who currently lives at SeaWorld Orlando. He was born there on November 23rd, 2005 to his mother Takara and his father Taku.
He is Takara's only son and oldest living calf, as well as the oldest and largest whale in the Orlando Pod, he currently lives with his sister Nalani, aunt Malia, and uncle Makaio.
Takara is a 35-year-old female Icelandic killer whale who lives at SeaWorld San Antonio. She is the matriarch of the San Antonio pod. She was born on July 9th, 1991 at SeaWorld San Diego to mother Kasatka and father Kotar.
She is the mother of Kohana, Trua, Sakari, Kamea, and Kyara, as well as the grandmother to Adán and Victoria.
Kotar was a 17 yr old Icelandic male killer whale that lived at Seaworld Texas, captured on October 9th, 1978 at less than a year old and passing away on April 1st, 1995 from a unspecified lung disease.
He is the father or Takara, Keet, and Keto, the grandfather to notable orcas such as Trua, Kalia, Kohana, Sakari, Adán and several other whales
