What’s this supposed to mean?

Can anyone help me with this? Is it just weirdly outlined map with a ring that is supposed to connect something i haven’t yet discovered or can I actually enter this somehow? Map doesn’t show any way in even frim other floors.

Everywhere I turn in the witcher comunity people hype up the rumored expansion, even game journalists like IGN or Gameranx which i casually follow yet there wasn’t a single trailer which was if I remember correctly rumored to release already. I don’t want to get my hopes up as it’s my favorite videogame, but is it likely to happen? If so then how soon would be your estimate?
