Purple's childish nature comes from him wanting to live the childhood he never had

So, surely I'm not the only one who noticed that Purple is one of the more childish and carefree members of the stick gang (Alongside Red) in the newer episodes, right? For a while I wondered why he is that way, considering his hard childhood, I'd thought that would make him harder, but that's when it came to me: He never had a childhood. He was raised by Navy to be a fighter and (Assumedly) spent most of his time trying to be one to please his father, and when he left and Pink died, he devoted his life to trying to prove his worth and win him back. Now, we all know this by now, but that's not the point. What I'm trying to say is, for years, Purple never had any time to be a kid or have fun back when he was younger, and it doesn't help that Navy probably forced him to not behave like that due to viewing it as a "weakness". Now that he's living in a much healthier environment, he now has the chance to live the childhood he never had and actually get to be a kid, even though he's canonically a teen/young adult by now. It also explains why he liked the note block universe so much, not only because it's a metaphorical and literal escape from reality, but also a place to not be ashamed of his inner self (Due to the kiddy and friendly nature of the universe).
