Can it be bioactive if the plants are in pots?

Can it be bioactive if the plants are in pots?

My snake loves to burrow and I'm concered he will mess up plant roots. I am currently culturing isopods and springtails so he isn't in the tank yet. I read an old post on here that the plants could be burried in their pots but now i'm worried that it won't be bioactive. Should i take them out of the pots and let them establish instead?

Oh snake elders, I seek your wisdom!

Hello, I am in the process of upgrading my for my honduran milk snake's home from a 20 gallon to a 4x2x2. (It is a work in progress, so more hides to be added). I'm still new to the hobby and am finding many resources online inconsistent, poor advice, or ai. I have a few questions i was hoping someone could answer about bioactive enclosures and milksnakes while i set up the enclosure for my boy (hes not in there currently).

I am seriously struggling with humidity. I bought a dubia enclosure knowing that the humidity retention would be worse but i go from 60% after a misting to below 45% in under thirty minutes.I have hvac tape the top of the enclosure and pour water in the corners to increase it but that isnt working. Do i need to pour a LOT of water in the enclosure for it to work? (I also read that more soil helps but i have over 4-5 inches. I used abg mix). I can't seem to keep up the humidity and after buying a mister, learned that was super bad and now I'm at a loss. In addition to the tape, i have sealed the bottom of my enclosure with silicone. Do i have to deal the sides?

I keep reading differing information about my snake. Im seeing information that says honduran snakes need 60-80% humidity instead of 40% to 60% like a lot of other milk snakes. Is this correct?

How do i maintain 80% humidity for springtails without causing scale rot to my snake? I read that you don't want the soil to be too wet. Also, when it says 80%, does it mean the soil needs to be 80% and the snake needs the air to be x amount humidity?

Like i said, I'm still fairly new to the hobby and this is my first bioactive enclosure. Any help is appreciated!
